I love shopping for discount accessories. In fact, it’s one of my favorite things ever, because accessories can amp up any outfit, and they are also cheap enough that I can scoop up a ton of pieces without feeling too guilty about breaking the bank.

When I shop for accessories, I try to find unique conversation pieces. If I’m going to bother to wear an accessory, I want to it say something, and I want that something to be different and interesting! But my problem is this: I am drawn to turquoise like my cheap jewelry to the magnetic strip at the top of my jewelry box.

I don’t mean to buy as much turquoise jewelry as I do. But the moment I see a cute piece, I am fixated on it, and my mind is instantly wiped of all memory of my ownership of fifty thousand similar pieces. There’s just something about that color – it’s bright, but also elegant. Fun, but classy. Basically, you can wear it a million different ways.

If you don’t have anything turquoise (or turquoise-colored, as most of my pieces probably are – I’m no rock expert, but for what I’m paying, it’s probably not authentic in any sense of the word), fear not!
