Stay ahead of the trends this fall with these great colors!
Smokey Metallics. Metallics seem to be included in these list of “the best make up colors for the season” quite often. The difference this season is that the shades are not as bold as they have been in the past. Remix the classic smokey eye with hazy shades of gold, bronze, and silver. To figure out which shades compliment you coloring most, hold up different colored jewelry to your face in front of a mirror with natural lighting and see which compliments your skin better. Warm skin tones, with yellow undertones, will look better in the gold reflection whereas cool skin tones will look better against silver.
Rose Cheeks I usually prefer to bronzer over blush, but I have been loving the look of flushed cheeks on the red carpet lately. It seems kind of contradictory to wear blush in the fall, rather than the summer but I think it is actually a surprisingly fresh look that is perfect for fall. Additionally, light blush does not look as fake as heavy bronzer does when we are all a little paler.
Classic Red. Red is going to be a big color this season, from shoes, to handbags, to your lips. A red lip is classic and adds a nice touch of drama as we transition into cooler weather.
Jewel Tones. Jewel tones are another one of those things that make these list a lot, but you really cannot go wrong with them. This season, try them on your nails! We have done the blacks and dark tones but jewel tones give a similar effect but aren’t as drab and are more flattering to winter skin tones.
What makeup colors are you trying this fall?
