Back to school used to mean back to school shopping. My mom wouldn’t let me go crazy, but she’d get me a few outfits, new shoes, and a school bag to start off the year. Then at some point in my high school career, this stopped. I was excited when I started college because she would have to take me back to school shopping again, only this time we bought towels and sheets instead of outfits.
These days, my mom is still generous enough to take me shopping for a few new things and this year I am in need of a new school bag. My mom and I are planning to hit up some Labor Day sales this weekend and I’m hoping to find a great bag along the way.
I want a great bag for fall, but I would love it to be big enough to fit at least my iPad in so I can use it for classes too. Usually I loved Marc by Marc Jacobs for handbags and school totes, but I’m on a little more of a budget this year. This means the bag I get is going to have go with everything since I don’t really have the cash to spend on a few different color bags.
I’ve been trying to look for bags when I’m out and have come across a few I like:
(bag pictured about is $78.00 from Urban Outfitters )
$58.00 from Urban Outfitters
$59.95 from The Gap
$48.96 from The Gap
$69.52 from Asos
I really want something I can use all the time, but yet something that is a little more interesting than a plain school bag.
Which style do you think I should look for? Would you wear any of these?

I adore the ASOS one, but it looks like it may not be big enough for school supplies.

I like the second photo down, but you should get the one you like the most since you’ll have to be carrying it around… I’d think about your clothing style though. What things you wear the most and how the bag would go with those things.

Make sure it’s practical! The last thing you want is a sore shoulder and/or back from lugging heavy books around campus.

Don’t buy anything from Urban Outfitters. The material is cheap, especially their bags.
If you’re going to be carrying around textbooks, spend the extra cash on a sturdy and stylish bag. If you read any of the reviews on UO, a lot of them will say that the strap broke, and they had to send the bag back.
Topshop has some very stylish, sturdy bags for even around $100. Worth the spend.

I really like the UO one, but go with the most practical to make sure you can fit everything.
