I love them both, they do look eerily alike though always thought it was katy perry before I knew who Zooey was, but I love her as much as katy.

@ohveryoung@xanga - oh no, totally. i agree with you there. i was more talking about the “i’m happy that she’s famous enough now that she’s not going out and being mistaken for me” line, that seems a little obnoxious to me.

@junkieveins@xanga - I don’t think she’s exactly being a bitch, more like just stating her point.  Some people pride themselves on not partying while others pride themselves on the party life.  Katy Perry is definitely more of a party girl than Zooey, and she was just expressing her dissatisfaction with people assuming she was a party girl simply because they had mistaken her for Katy.  I’d be pretty pissed if I made it a point to keep my name out of tabloids only to be confused with another celebrity who doesn’t mind being featured in tabloids.  Like Zooey said, though, she’ll get over it.  It isn’t that big of a deal, it’s just a bit irritating to her.

Honestly, I’ve been mistaken as Rebecca Black before…. Like, seriously???

I knew who Zooey was wayyyy before Katy Perry even existed as a pop star. Helllloooooo ELF! Like, one of my fav movies when I was in HS. Yeah. That was in like 05 or earlier.

I used to be mistaken for Avril all the time. I had people coming up to me in the street asking my autograph constantly. Eventually I got fed up with it and dyed my hair jet black.  After that it stopped, and now even tho my hair isn’t black anymore, it seems to have died down.

they usually look alike when they have brunette hair and a similar hairstyle with bangs. now that katy dyed her hair, she won’t be mistaken. katy dresses like a sexy pinup with her infamous boobs and zooey is more retro conservative yet still feminine in an adorable dolly way. their different style is distinct enough to not mix them up.

No, but when I was a freshman my English teacher always told me I reminded her of the Pepsi girl.  I definitely did not see the resemblance.  o.O  Whenever it’s Doppelganger week on Facebook I always choose Isla Fisher for my profile pic, because I hope I look somewhat like her.  She’s just so beautiful, and her personality is as well! 

It is crazy how they look alike, though.  I’m looking forward to watching her new show New Girl.  I never knew how she old she was until I read an interview in Vogue and found out she was 31.  She looks a lot younger than that to me!  Anyone else?  Also, I think it’s really cool that she’s Emily Deschanel’s sister!  <3Bones.

Anyways. I get Ashley Judd a lot–but my father finds it offensive. I don’t see the resemblance that much. And I think Zooey is prettier, personally.

They are two of my favorite in the fame business, and one day I was talking about how pretty I thought they were and put their pictures side by side and was like uhh.. wow. Guess I was a litte behind on noticing the similarity XD

Personally, I don’t think they look alike at all… well, unless you think all brown-haired, blue-eyed women look “the same”… It’s always irked me how people think they look identical and whatnot. I personally don’t see it at all, I find them to be very different. I’m also glad to see Zooey speak out. I’m not a big fan of Zooey in general, but I really, really dislike Katy and I would be annoyed to be compared to her all the time (especially if we seemed to be polar opposites like Zooey & Katy!).

Hopefully people in the future will stop mixing them up.

Well now that Katy is sort of going back to her natural roots, it has set her apart from Zooey. They are both really pretty, although I’m not a big Katy Perry fan.

Some of my acquaintances who are dark-haired, has huge eyes, wears falsies, and sports either vintage or just plain pin up style would get things like that too, even though they dressed like that way before Katy was even popular. Most of them aren’t even into her music either. But I guess that’s what happens when a certain image gets named after by a pop icon.

I agree with @P0RCELA1N_D0LL@xanga - Katy is more sexual in style than Zooey.

Apparently I have no less than 3 doppelgangers running around of me.  One is my in-law’s (not on hsi side) niece.  Spitting image.  Frightening.

I never really thought they looked alike, but I’ve never associated them together but I suppose if you place photographs like that together they do look a lot similar but…c’mon you guys…who cares…..

its funny when people tell you that you look like a celebrity you just dontttt see it.. i get rachel mcadams alllll the time and yet everytime i look in the mirror i see no resemblance. but i do have to say that they look alot alike, and that i just loooove katy perry. i think shes classy in a cocky way haha.

I can see how people could mistaken them for each other, they do look similar.  I can also understand why Zooey would be upset for people who mistaken her for Katy, because of her reputation.  I have not been compared to celebrities, but people use to mix my sister and I up all the time, even though we were 3 years apart.  Personally I don’t think we look that much alike…but I guess other people thought we did.

I would be upset if I was constantly mistaken for someone else too. They look some what similar but are two different people. 

Some guy mistook my dad to be Matt Damon before when he was on some golfing trip in Florida.  They really do look eerily alike, with some minor differences; my dad has brown eyes, a slightly more hooked nose, is left handed and about 10 years older.  But if you aren’t that picky about minor details, they seriously could be twins.  My dad played along and even gave the guy an autograph haha.

That’s funny because I get told I look like both of them all the time…
