I recently had the pleasure of meeting Alice, the inventor of one of the newest beauty products on the market: Lash Cards. They are cards designed to make the application of mascara easier, less messy, and leave your lashes clump free.
The card has a curve on either end of each a different width for various eye shapes. You place the card on your eye lids and gently lift then proceed with applying the mascara of your choice. No more little place track marks left on your eyelids.
Alice’s Lash Card was based on a make-up artist’s DIY “business card” trick but the inconvenience and flimsy paper inspired her to seek other ways. She wants to create beauty products that are convenient and cost-friendly for women.
On the Lash Card website it says they are ideal for: Separating lashes, layering mascara, bottom lashes, reapplication, and maximizing curl.
I just got my pack of Lash Cards ($4.99 for a pack of 10) and I can’t wait to try them!
Is this a product you would buy, Lovelies?

actually do you know michellephan on youtube? she just uses business cards and cuts a whole for the eye so i suggest you get some business cards and cut out a similar shape if you actually want your purchase to be worth it.

Maybe I’m just a broke college student but this isn’t very affordable… so no, I will not be buying these
@Ashley Nicole Anders@facebook - I think she means a hole.. because I’ve seen Michelle Phan and other youtubers using this trick and I don’t recall there being any holes, just the business card.

“Alice’s Lash Card was based on a make-up artist’s DIY “business card” trick”
I think this was based on Michelle Phan…she was the first and only person I saw use this trick.
but why pay for these when you can use business cards that you have lying around…or even index cards.? Neat idea, but it’s easier to just make it yourself.

DO people really have that much trouble putting mascara on???

@Ashley Nicole Anders@facebook - uhm.. no need to make fun of me for using the wrong word?

@baby__chiiq@xanga - thank you. yes, i meant a curve in the business card. i mean i just use a business card without cutting because that’s helpful enough but i guess if she went out and bought these it would be more helpful to have a curve especially now since she has a template.

dude. i’ve been using a index card for like the past 3 years. and since i made them, i got to cut them to perfectly contour my eyes when i apply mascara (okay maybe not perfect). i always had a problem of always hitting my eye with the wand right after i applied it so the card always blocked my eye lids after.
its a lot cheaper and resuable!

Yup first saw Michelle Phan use it on YouTube. I did however buy a plastic eyelash guard on ebay:

just because I don’t have that many business cards lying around.

Waste of money. You can make these yourself.

I wouldn’t buy these, I use good old recycled paper, from when my printer goes haywire and prints all nonsense (or rather, from when I forget to replace the empty ink thingies….).

what everyone else said.

ditto. I would use index cars but I don’t wear mascara

this is a genius idea. i’m just going to make my own cards though

I don’t use anything…I just put mascara on..it’s never smudged..what the hell?
guest
um… who would buy these?
this Alice chick must be a good saleswoman

I wear so much mascara that no index card could really make a difference. Love that shit. Love it.

waste of money. I do use these every day, but I work at walmart, and I just use the little pricetags they have on the shelves (the unused ones that are blank). It’s not that hard to use them without a curve, and the paper is cardstock. When I run out of those I cut 3×5 cards into fourths. Waaaay cheaper.

expensive!
buddy – just use toilet paper!
rip a square of toilet paper off, fold it in half and put it on ur eyelids and apply mascara. VOILA
i throw it away when im done both eyes, but you could save the sheet and just use the same side again
cheap and accessible
