Marc Jacobs creates timeless, edgy pieces that seem to perfectly fit what every season embodies. For his fall and winter 2011 collection, Jacobs creates clothes that capture warmth through his rich color choices and fur accents. From his military coats to leather handbags for all, Marc can really get to a girl. The one thing stopping every woman from buying out his stores are the prices.

As a young New Yorker myself, I have learned to simply walk away from the endless window displays with cash in my pocket and ideas in my head. I love to look at what high-end designers are trending and apply it to the budget I have.

Here, I have found some easy, street wear versions of these classic Marc Jacobs pieces. They will save you money and stress for these up coming seasons in the city, while leaving you looking like you just stepped off the runway.

This is an example of a Marc Jacobs suede and leather combination tote found in his fall/ winter 2011 collection. A similar tote is also found at H&M, which still represents the trend but in a more cost-efficient way.

This is another example of a military jacket in the collection and its sister version at French Connection.

See, it’s easy to copy the designers, you just have to keep your eyes open. Do you have any more suggestions on how to save money on clothes? Leave your comment and let me know!
