Not a wide selection. The video music awards are not what they use to be….yawn…

The video music awards are for those who can’t make it strictly on their talent. Minus the people in the rock category (Although I wouldn’t really consider them rock) they’re all pretty good.

I’m just excited for the Britney Spears tribute

the only categories I care about are Best Editing & Best Special Effects. I would LOVE to see Manchester Orchestra win for “Simple Math”-that video is just INCREDIBLE.

Everyone should vote for Foster The People for Best New Artist!! I love Foster The People, they’re music is some of the best I’ve heard in a while.

@LaughOutLoudLauren@xanga - I don’t really agree… Fact: Kreayshawn’s a mess, I met Big Sean; he was cool and high as a kite at the time but I feel his rhymes are a little too generic for me, and Nicki Minaj; I don’t like her but I respect what she’s doing after watching her little documentary on MTV… HOWever, I believe Adele is a true talent seeing how she writes her own songs and sticks to what she wants to do and has a voice I would kill for. And Bruno Mars is definitely someone worth all the credibility he’s been getting this year. He started off as a music producer and songwriter (he’s written songs for Cee-Lo, Adam Levine, Far East movement, Brandy, Flo Rida, etc.), he plays the piano and guitar, he comes from a family with a musical background, he has a voice of an angel (can you tell I really like him? lol), and he was an Elvis impersonator when he was a child (he made a cameo in Honeymoon in Vegas). haha.. But I notice it seems like you’re more of a rock/indie music listener. To each their own!
If you couldn’t tell I’m rooting for Adele and Bruno Mars, but I’ve been a Britney fan since the beginning so I’m rooting for her too. I also want Wiz to win Best New Artist because I’ve been listening to him for a couple years now.

@pick_my_friggin_nose@xanga - You certainly have a lot of knowledge about the artists. I don’t know who Kreayshawn or Big Sean are. Hah. I respect that you can back up what you believe. And I do really love Adele I’m just really not a fan of “Rolling in the Deep”. I’m glad that Bruno Mars writes. I’m just not into his music. Hah I can definitely tell that you like him. Yes, that is typically what I’m into. I’m glad you’re mature. I’ve seen people get all bent out of shape when they disagree with someone. It would be nice to see Adele win in her categories.

@LaughOutLoudLauren@xanga - I mean, if I like someone’s music, I want to try and learn a little bit of their history in the business. To be honest I don’t’ know much about Kreayshawn but I have heard a couple of her songs and I just wasn’t feeling her rhymes; she also looks like the street version of Amy Winehouse lol. That’s how I felt with Nicki Minaj when I heard her verse in “Bedrock” with Young Money Crew (“let me put this p**** on your sideburn”?? uhhhhhhhh.. haha!).. I feel you on Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep”. I really loved that song, but then it got played out, but 21′s a beautiful album.. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been catty on here before because sometimes it’s just too hard to bite your tongue, but I do my best to try and keep things civil because it’s the internet. Like, seriously? lol
