I’ve tried avoided it for as long as possible, but yesterday, I finally admitted it to myself. School starts next Monday…and I’m OK with it! I’m a college senior, so this next year will be my last. A tiny part of me is beyond ready to graduate and see what the “real world” has to offer me, but the larger (and less terrified!) part of me is just excited to enjoy this final chapter of my college experience. Here are four things I want to accomplish this year:

1) Write more: Every school year, I promise myself that I’m going to write more. Whether it’s blogging, journaling, whatever!–I plan on doing a lot more of it this year. Not to get all Chicken Soup for the Soul on you guys, but I really just want to chronicle my thoughts and feelings during my college years.

2) Spend time on campus: Not to brag, but my college has one of the most beautiful campuses I’ve ever been on. Tons of trees, a mix of old and modern buildings and intricate sidewalk paths make the campus very dense and fun to be on. However, the past few years, I’ve spent the majority of my time in the same journalism building. This upcoming year, I plan on spending time just wandering around campus and discovering new little hangout spots to read or writer.

3) Balance school, work and friends: This is always easier said than done. But it’s something I definitely want to work on this year. I deserve to have more fun with my friends! School’s important to me, as is work, but I refuse to put my friends on the back burner.

4) Stress less: This is another “easier said than done” situation. I know my last year of college won’t be entirely free of stress–in fact, it’ll probably be my most stressful year yet! I plan on finding ways to combat my stress early on in the school year. I’m sure this will include a lot of #3; hanging out with friends always helps me relax.

What do you want to accomplish this school year?
