After working in retail for 3 years, it’s really hard for me to go to Forever 21. The clothes are cheap, poorly made and the sales associates are, many times, incredibly rude. But, in an attempt to not spend my whole paycheck before I left for college, I hit up Forever 21 for some cute gear.
While there, I found a very cute skirt that may change my attitudes towards skirts in general! I’m a very casual dresser — jeans and a cute tank or crop top are my go to staples for leaving the house because I always feel like I’m going to be overdressed in a skirt. But, voila! Not always.
This Knit A-Line Skirt ($15.80 from Forever 21), is a really cute olive green (a great fall color) and can be work with tights, little ankle booties and denim vest for a rocker vibe, with a loose crop top or leotard for a more indie vibe or with a button down either tucked in or with the shirttails tied for a cutesy, dressier look.
So I guess a skirt doesn’t have to be all that dressy, even if it still can be. Lovelies, what are your favorite skirts to wear a million ways or Forever 21 finds that don’t look like they’re from Forever 21?

For the most part I don’t shop there because a lot of the merchandise looks like it will disintegrate in the washer. But, that skirt is cute.

Cute skirt!

I love that skirt. It might look plain at first but it can be so versatile, the color is great for Fall and an A-line skirt can look good on many different body types. I normally don’t shop there but I would buy this.

The skirt is cute, but I haven’t shopped there in over 10 years.

I have an olive/tan skirt. It’s a mix between those two colors. Sounds weird, but it’s really pretty… has a little corsetting detail on the front and it’s really billowy, but it doesn’t look overwhelming. I pair it with a black top and black flats… and the best part is, I have a purse of the SAME exact color! Love it when that happens!

@lov3lybones@xanga - agreee a million x !
I bought skirts there for $3.50 & I know you are all are thinking that it was poor quality, but really if you take care of your clothes it shouldn’t be a big deal. I’ve never had anything from there fall apart. And even if I did, paying $3.50 a few x is cheaper than paying one price for most places’ clothes.

I was expecting something that was going to wow me since I never liked XXI. It looks boring.
