The day has finally come for men everywhere! Cosmopolitan magazine is launching a men’s magazine to be called Cosmo for Guys, or the much edgier CFG.
According to the editor-in-chief, the dude’s edition came to be after she received enough letters and emails of men confessing that they were stealing their girlfriends’ or wives’ Cosmos when they weren’t around.
I’ve seen many guys become enthralled with Cosmo. I’ve caught my boyfriend reading it many times. There’s something intriguing to a guy about learning women’s secrets and how we think; kind of like the thrill of searching through a woman’s purse. Although, CFG is intended to be more of a Maxim-type publication, so we’ll see what kind of readership that can attract.
What do you think about CFG? Do you catch guys reading your copies?

I don’t know a single man who would read that… or who would peak at a Cosmo, for that matter, and thank God. Cosmo is a useless magazine that inspires women to be dumb. Do we really need a male version of it?
What’s next, “Balls in the CIty”?

Does anybody else notice that the word “sex” is on that particular cover three times? How many times do they need to put it on there?!

Cosmo is fun to read when I’m stressed. That shit is so ridiculous.

This sounds like an awful idea. They should work on the one magazine they have first before tackling another.

Because Cosmo isn’t already about men, right? Because all I ever read about is how to make him happy, and in the most ridiculous ways.

What guy would actually BUY that. I mean, it’s one thing to take a peek at his girlfriend’s cosmo, but buying one for himself? idk.

So is this going to be the same stuff about women pleasing men or will it be tips for men on how to make us happy?

I rarely ever buy Cosmo, but the few times I have my bf has been entertained when I read him stories from it. I don’t think he’d ever read it on his own tho.
I don’t think many men will buy it.

i always catch my husband reading my magazine!

Eh. I hardly ever buy a cosmo magazine but when I do have one laying around my husband will always read through it. I dont think he would read a male cosmopolitan magazine though… Something about it being for a female makes it more interesting.

The only time I’ve ever read Cosmo is in a group of both genders at parties when we’re all laughing at its ridiculousness. It’s basically already a men’s magazine anyway… it’s all sexy pictures of women and sex tips on how to make him happy and what he likes. The thing that grosses me out about Cosmo is that it tries to pass that off as empowerment for women.
