I used to hate sneakers. I refused to wear them all throughout high school, except when I was forced to wear them for gym class. But all of a sudden, I’ve become obsessed with the shoe I used to detest.

Maybe it’s living in the city that has made me realize how useful sneakers can be. They’re obviously comfortable and the best kind of shoe for walking around in. They can pretty much work in any kind of weather, and they last forever. And now, they’re no longer ugly!

I’ve been looking for high top sneakers lately, which, I know, seem intimidating. I wasn’t sure if I possessed enough swag to rock these particular kicks, and once I started looking, I realized they’re freakin’ expensive!

Despite the pricey tag attached to some of these sneaks, here are my favorite do-it-all shoes for every occasion.
