Dylan Lauren’s wedding dress is revealed in the August 2011 issue of Vogue. Ralph Lauren’s daughter (also the owner of Dylan’s Candy Bar) got married in a Ralph Lauren original, of course. I have a thing for mermaid-style gowns, and it’s even better with a long train. The wedding dress was put together with handmade duchesse satin, silk tulle, georgette and a tiered train. What touched me the most about this dress is not just the design but the feelings and thoughts put into it by the designer. 

On designing his daughter’s dress, Ralph Lauren said, “I had to do something that was better than ever before. When you do something for your family or daughter, I mean it’s the only daughter I have; beautiful girl. I want to just give her something that she’d really treasure and give her something that would be really amazing. I want her to feel fantastic.” With this in mind, how can the dress be less than perfect? 

I’m looking forward to seeing the wedding dress that he’s designing for soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Lauren Bush. And I’m not expecting it to be anything less than Dylan’s. Lauren Bush will be marrying David Lauren later in the summer and one interesting thing to note is she’ll soon be known as Lauren Lauren?
