I, for one, love the whole hippie, wavy hair, headband across the forehead look. There’s something about it that just screams “summer.”
I’ve always seen girls wear braided headbands over their foreheads and I’ve always wondered how they did it. Yea, they sell pre-made braided headbands you can just pull over your head, but I like that all natural stuff. After some experimenting, I finally figured it out.
First I sectioned off the top layer of my hair (about an inch above my ear) and put it up in a clip. If you have bangs you can leave them down. Then I took a small section of hair (a little less than an inch) on the left side of my head, right below the top layer. You don’t want the section to be too far back. My section was a little less than an inch but you can take more or less depending on how big you want your braid.
Next, I braided that section all the way down to the bottom.
Then you simply take the braid and swing it over your forehead to the other side of your head and fasten it with a couple bobby-pins (I used two). If you have bangs you can put the braid over them or under. As you can see in my pictures, at first I put the braid over my bangs but since they’re an awkward length (trying to grow them out) I decided to put them under instead.
I only like one braid myself, so if you do too you can stop here and take your hair out of the clip. However, if you like the double braid, grab another small section (the same size as your first) and repeat the same steps. When you do grab the section, make sure it’s a little lower then your first braid since it’s going below.
Once you secure that braid on the other side, you can take down your hair, and voila! You have a natural double braid headband look without the headband.
What do you think of the double headband look, Lovelies?

I really don’t want to be mean but… I don’t like it =/ You’re much prettier without it. The one braid on top of your bangs in your fourth picture would look all right if you put it a tiny bit lower, though.

i love it!!!!

I’m not a fan.

I would like it if it were higher up. You’re very pretty btw
I might have to try this soon, with my own spin

I like it if it’s placed on your upper forehead (like the 4th photo of you!) Haha too bad hair styles like this never show up nicely on me ):

I love the idea
I would wear it at the crown of my head instead though because I feel like it would accentuate my forehead too much

Sweet! I was rocking this a couple weeks ago except higher up.

I like the single braid…the first picture of the entire blog was kind of weird….but I still like the concept. With some fiddling, I’m sure I could find the perfect fit for me.

I’m not a fan at all. I think it looks weird.

The single braid over your bangs looked much better, the double is pretty questionable.

You’re super pretty!! I really like the single braid higher up on your forehead. What a cute idea.
Rock it, girlfriend!!!

I like the way it looked in the fourth picture of you the most, but maybe that’s because it was higher up on your forehead?

I love it! I think it’s cute

I love it! Totally trying this out.

I think it looks horrendous. If I saw you at the mall I would laugh at you, in all honesty. The asian chick at the top looks okay though… you might want to try that instead.

Like other people pointed out i think you look a lot better without it =)

I’m with everyone else – I love the 4th pic of you with the 1 braid across the upper region of your forehead. I would DEFINITELY try that out! The last pic (w/ the double braids) would look better if they were up higher. Awesome idea though and I will definitely be trying it out now (I’ve never even seen this ‘look’ lol!)

Four words: what were you thinking?
