If you thought we were excited about next year’s The Amazing Spider-Man when stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone covered EW, well, we took it to a whole new level now that the trailer was released.
The new movie is meant to be a complete reboot of last decade’s Spider-Man films. Now, I’m not a comic book fan, and everything I know about Spider-Man I learned from Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst. Which means, I have no idea which set of comics are the inspiration behind this film, but with Andrew being as swoon-worthy as he is, it doesn’t matter to me.
What do you Lovelies think of the new trailer?

hmm.. the trailer isn’t compelling enough to make me want to watch the movie. btw, isn’t it Kirsten and not Kristen?

I honestly only watched this trailer because Denis Leary was in it. That would be the only reason I would go see this movie ^.^

meh…Andrew doesn’t seem dorky enough to be Peter Parker. I’ll still watch though.

July 3rd is my birthday & next year I get Andrew Garfield?! YAY!!!! (leave me alone, I can dream! XD)
I like the trailer, it’s very interesting! I’m just pissed we have to wait a whole year to see it! I’m surprised they released a full one so early! IF THE MOVIE IS DONE, RELEASE IT SOONER!!!!
I’m gonna try REALLY hard not to compare this to Sam’s movies. This is a prequel/reboot so it’s meant to be different. Plus in the cases of comic books, there’s so many different continuities, you can make movies about one character forever.

i’ll see it. although, i don’t really understand the timeline here…

@galadrielspitcher@xanga - It’s revamped. It’s like starting fresh. Comic book companies (marvel, dc) have different universes for their characters because you can’t just have a never ending story focusing on one guy. There’s the amazing spiderman, ultimate spider man, astonishing spiderman…and each one has a different story.

i loved the old series with toby and kirsten dunst soo ehh. I am surprise they didn’t bring MJ into the storyline, I guess maybe in movie 2 if it does good in the box office.

Nah, I’ll pass. It’s okay as it doesn’t exactly jump at me and make me go wow. It’s pretty okay. I’m just tired of Spiderman. Besides the third movie in the original trilogy. The others were pretty good.
I like Toby better. Sorry Andrew Garfield ;(

Even though I’ve had pleasant dreams about Andre- I mean… Andrew Garfield is a great actor…
But I don’t think he can pull off the Peter Parker that Toby did. The clumsiness and way he made the character so awkward made it funny and made the movie work better.
But I think I’ll still check this one out when it comes out next year!

nahhh for 3 reason.
1 The movie I’m waiting for next summer is TDKR.
2. I loved Tobey as Spidey.
3. WHERES JAMES FRANCO?
