Two weeks before he won the 12th season of Dancing with the Stars, Los Angeles police detained Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward under suspicion he was riding in a stolen car (turns out it was all a misunderstanding). Now, almost two months after he won the mirror-ball trophy with Kym Johnson, police in Georgia arrested Ward under a suspicion of DUI.
Decatur police busted the two-time Super Bowl champ early Saturday morning, charging him with driving under the influence. A friend bailed him out, but the Decatur Police Department hasn’t released any other details.
However, Ward’s agent/manager is releasing some info. In a statement, Andrew Ree says, “Hines is deeply saddened by this incident and apologizes to his fans and the Steelers organization for this distraction. From our preliminary investigation we can tell you that we are confident that the facts will show that Hines was NOT impaired by alcohol while driving.” Ree also says his client “cooperated fully with the police and truthfully answered all of their questions.”
Heinz, have you learned nothing from Lovelyish?!
Were you a fan of Ward’s on DWTS?

The Steelers have some bad luck in GA. Pretty sure that’s where Roethlisberger ran into trouble too, in Milledgeville. Note to Steelers: Stay out of GA. Well, or just stop doing dumb shit. Either one.

I forgot he won DWTS. I really do hope for Hines Ward’s sake he wasn’t driving drunk, but my opinion of him won’t change. I remember him for creating a charity to help and support bi-racial children in South Korea. He’s bi-racial. He and his mother were shunned by Korean society because of that. Ward wanted to create awareness and to promote the equality and fairness for bi-racials. All in all, I do hope he learned his lesson
