According to SELF Magazine, these are four very popular summer drinks that can really pack on the pounds without you even thinking about it.
And, I’m guilty of drinking 3 out of 4 of these drinks very often…



1. Frappuccino-
The 24-ounce Mint Mocha Chip Frappuccino has 590 calories and 22 grams of fat! During the school year, Frappuccinos are like my kryptonite. I splurge on the regular ones, but when I’m feeling a bit “healthier,” I simply order the Frappuccino “light,” and it reduces it to almost half the calories of the regular. PLUS, did you know that the whipped cream put on a Starbucks drink is equivalent to the calories in 7 pieces of bacon?!


2. Daiquiris, Pina Coladas and other blended alcoholic concoctions. A daiquiri is equivalent to 305 calories of basically all sugar. However, if you get a bigger size, such as a 12 or 16 oz drink, then it can add up to 800 calories! Yikes!

3. Long Island Iced Tea. An average of 520 calories if you use an at-home mixer, but at a restaurant they are probably more!


4. Dunkin’ Donuts Strawberry Banana Smoothie. This healthy sounding drink weighs in at a whopping 700 calories. You can probably eat at least 3 donuts instead of that smoothie.
