“Bieber Fever” has been all the craze. First the shaggy-haired boy started crooning tunes, then Usher hopped on board and declared Justin to be his “little brother,” and, of course, who can forget the Justin Bieber movie Never Say Never!
So with movie corporations and celebs alike joining the multi-million dollar Bieber Fever train, who’s opting out?
Lil Wayne, that’s who!
Even though Lil Wayne & co. (the team is commonly known as Young Money) are tight with Bieber, they want to help keep his image clean. Lil Wayne (also known as Wheezy), who has been arrested for use or possession of marijuana, has openly admitted (to Katie Couric, nonetheless!) a previous addiction to purple drank (a.k.a codeine cough syrup) and has been found in possession of an illegally registered weapon, doesn’t want to hurt Bieber’s good-boy image.
Personally, if Lil Wayne likes Bieber’s music, he should work with the kid. As an incredibly successful and famous rap artist, Wheezy can, perhaps, help Bieber’s career evolve from pop songs to something a little harder, maybe some rap-pop fusion even. That could be…cool. Maybe a little Rebecca Black-esque, with a rap segment in the middle of an annoyingly adolescent video, but definitely a step in a different direction, nonetheless.
Lovelies, what do you think? Should Lil Wayne turn down Bieber to help the kid maintain his good-boy image, or are personal life and musical talent completely separate entities? Would you listen to a Lil Wayne infused Bieber song?

Hell, it might even put Lil Wayne in a better light if he does something clean for once. *shrugs*

It honestly sounds to me like Lil Wayne is more thinking of his image than Bieber’s. But maybe I’m wrong and he really does have Justin’s best interest at heart. I would say to maybe wait a bit and when Bieber’s older and ready to start moving in a new direction then revisit the idea. I actually love both of them and I would loove to see a collab in the future.

Oh darn, I was hoping it would be for other reasons.
I think if he wants to work with him, he should. I don’t think it’d hurt Bieber’s image, but it’s nice that he’s being so considerate.

I would not listen to the collaboration anyway seeing as neither of their music peeks any interest of me.

I think that’s pretty cool of Wayne; I’m sure the parents of most of the 13 year old bieber fans would be horrified if they heard 99% of Waynes music sooooooo I think he’s probably doing the kid a favor, at least until he’s older.

All the craze? The latest craze, or all the rage, maybe. But all the craze? not English. C-

I think it’s better to keep them separate. The only reason I think this collab would even come to mind would be to make Beiber more appealing to a new demographic.

uh. no. i don’t listen to anything Bieber. i love Lil Wayne, not NO BIEBER. never. that boy does not have anything going for him, least of all his 5-year-old-Michael-Jackson souding voice.

I don’t think a collaboration would be in either of their best interests. How many young Bieber fans’ parents are going to be cool with their kids listening to that? And how many of Li’l Wayne’s fans are all about the Bieber?
And perhaps the most important question of all, why are we even bothering to think about something that’s not going to happen? LOL.

Lil’ Wayne has the right idea.

I was thinking it would be the other way around…

I think Bieber would ruin little Waynes image and Wayne collborating with Bieber would kill his career. Both artists cater to different demographics and more importantly different age groups, I don’t know how many young and middle aged adults like Justin Bieber, but Wayne collaborating with Bieber would make Wayne seem like an image for kids.

i think that after lil wayne went to jail and has to stay sober it could help wheezy’s image. hahaha

NO.

Bieber has already collaborated with Kanye West and a few others, he doesn’t need a Lil Wayne collabo. Also, I’m not a Lil Wayne fan but even I know that it’s Weezy, not Wheezy.

I think that’s nice of him to take that stand as an adult. He knows the industry. I guess he didn’t care about Drake’s image
jk. It’s not like anyone’s going to take Drake for a “good boy” with all shit he raps about…

I LOVE LITTLE WAYNE. I don’t care for Justin Bieber,I actually had to scroll up and look at the title of this article to see if I spelled his name right. That was nice of Little Wayne to consider not hurting Justin Bieber’s image. What if the two of them work together and Justin becomes a drug addict or something? Then Lil Wayne would probably be blamed. EVEN THOUGH,we know young kids like to try out new things.

definitely proud of lil wayne for not succumbing to the justin bieber fever! i honestly wouldn’t believe it if he had accepted. justin bieber can keep it with the 13 year old girls, and his 13 year old girl voice.
