Sure, he was on stage and I was about 20 rows back, but it still counts.

On Saturday night, I went to see Dan Rad in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.” The show was amazing, and it was honestly one of the funniest musicals I have ever seen. Harry Potter also does an awesome job of singing and dancing.

Onto my outfit: Since I don’t have high school proms to look forward to anymore, the theater is one of my only times to get dressed up.

I decided to take advantage of going to an evening Broadway show to pretend I’m from the Upper East Side (as opposed to my current residence on the Lower West Side).

I wore a Pleat Top Jacquard Sundress from JCPenney’s. I bought it on sale (half off!) a few months before the coral trend really took off. It’s a blend of cotton, nylon, and spandex. As I was taking all of these pictures, a girl walked passed and told me she liked my dress. It just about made my night.

I decided to make a dramatic statement with my accessories. My Faceted Beaded Bib Necklace was $8.80 from Forever 21, and fun fact, I bought it earlier that day even though I had the “Do you really have somewhere to wear this?” talk with myself.

As for my hair, I make my side part a little deeper and went with a loose, low pony.

I wore gold eyeshadow, and Mary Kay Tinted Lip Balm in Poppy, from Amazon.

My nails are painted with Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear Nail Color ($2.04 from Amazon) in Gunmetal.

And just for giggles, here is the result from a quiz I took earlier this week:

If you get a chance, I recommend that you go see this show, Lovelies. If you thought Daniel was funny in the 6th movie, multiply that by about 10. Plus, the songs are fun and catchy (I’m still singing them).

What do you think of my Broadway look?
