If there’s a way to delete songs from my iPod, I’m not aware of it. What I am aware of, however, is that there a more than a few songs that I no longer like and don’t know why I ever did.
These are the songs that I bought out of impulse: they were stuck in my head, it sounded cool the first three times I heard it, it was on my team’s warm up CD.
Now, I just skip past these in favor of just about anything else.
Maneater – Nelly Furtado. This is one of those songs that I put on my iPod when I first got it, and now its appeal has faded.
Hey Mama – The Black Eyed Peas. Like a lot of BEP songs, this got old really fast.
S.O.S.- The Jonas Brothers. Yes, I’ll admit it. I went through a Jonas Brothers phase. It’s safe to say that it’s over now.
Dead on Arrival – Fall Out Boy. There is way too much Fall Out Boy on my playlist. I haven’t liked this band since I was 15.
Lip Gloss – Lil Mama. In fact, make that every Lil Mama song on my iPod
Do you have any songs that you used to love and have gotten tired of, Lovelies? Do you buy songs on impulse or wait until you’re sure you like them?

Connect to itunes, hit delete button and it will ask you like 3 times if you really want to delete it. Done.
But yeah, I know what you mean. I get lazy with deleting things sometimes too.

surprisingly, i still like all of the old BEP songs… not a fan of their newer stuff. i should probably clean out my ipod too.

@starcrossedloversdivine@xanga - also, if you don’t feel like deleting songs because you paid for them and it would essentially be like throwing money away, you could also uncheck it. that way, it stays on your computer, but it won’t sync to your ipod. only checked songs go onto your ipod. i do that, because sometimes i do get a bit nostalgic and play old ass songs.

I don’t ever think I’ve bought a song or CD on impulse and didn’t like it later on. I’ve had the same wide taste in music since forever and I know which I songs I really like. If I feel that I only like the song because it’s catchy then I don’t buy it.

Whatever happened to Lil’ Mama? Haven’t heard much about her…
I do a good job at keeping just music I want to hear on my iPod with the exception of some soundtracks that have some unnecessary 30 second background music tracks. That gets annoying real quick. If I get sick of a song/album, I’ll take it off and give it a break for a while. Maybe a year or maybe forever. Depends on how overplayed the song is whether I be to blame or the radio.
And yea, wouldn’t it be convenient if they gave you a delete option on the iPod? That way you can do it right then and there when you hear it instead of skipping over it and forgetting about it until the next time it pops up and repeats the cycle all over again.

LOL I went through my itunes a while ago and deleted a bunch of crap: Ashlee Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Fergie, Nickleback, Fallout Boy, and some other generic pop. Now my ipod is pure.

@evangeliaaa@xanga - oh lol I don’t pay for music. I also don’t sync. But that is a helpful hint for those who do!

I had a couple of Rihanna and Katy Perry songs on my mp3 player and when it crashed, I didn’t feel the need to replace them.

Mine and my ex boyfriend’s song is the only one I really should remove.

you just click on the song, then click the delete button on your keyboard. next time you plug your ipod back into your computer it will automatically delete the song off your ipod

But I don’t pay for songs ;P I download them on the internet for free. My kind of music is kind of hard to get. I just delete the songs I need/want to. It happens on impulse.
