I’ve complained about my makeup routine on Lovelyish before, and since I wasn’t in love with anything I was using, I decided to experiment a bit with products. What I found was that sometimes you don’t have to pay the extra for something that works great.

 

1. Great Lash Mascara, $4.99 by Maybelline. This is some of the best mascara I’ve ever used. It’s hard for me to tell the difference between this stuff and the Dior Show I tried a while back, and since this is significantly cheaper it has become my go to mascara!

2. Lash Stiletto Liquid Eye liner, $6.99 (also) by Maybelline. Eyeliner and I don’t get along well. I once bought some Smashbox pots on super sale, but I struggled with them so much that I ended up not using them. I ran out of Line Stiletto the other day and went back to use the Smashbox stuff and they were all dried up, so I can’t compare the two directly. Although Line Stiletto takes a little bit of getting used to, once you get it to work, it works wonders.

3. Essential Brightening Eye Color, $1.00 by ELF. Although I haven’t actually given this eye shadow a try yet, this week’s Cheap-O Friday post inspired me to give it a go! Not to mention I could literally buy this one with the change in my purse.
