I think straight bangs look awesome on Kim Kardashian, but she would probably look good even if she were bald. Regardless, Kim inspired me to try this look out for myself.

I was really nervous about getting straight bangs because I had a terrible experience with them when I was younger. Throughout my elementary school years I had that typical Asian bowl cut hairstyle which I strongly disliked.

I remember asking my mother many times if I could grow my hair and bangs out but she always insisted that long hair was hard to maintain. The worst part was that my hair was very wavy when I was a child, so my bangs often parted in the middle and curled away from each other in warmth and humidity, making it look like I had a mustacheon my forehead. I was even called Octopus Head by my little “friends” because they said my hair looked like curly tentacles. But regardless of that awful time in my life, I took the plunge when I got my hair cut two weeks ago. And here’s how it turned out:

It took a lot to convince me to get this cut. My hair started straightening out when I was in my teens, and now that I am an adult, it’s almost completely straight. But it still took me YEARS to finally have the guts to get straight bangs again. When I first got them two weeks ago, I thought that they weren’t bad but was pretty sure that I was going to push them back to one side after a few days. But as days go by and my bangs get a little bit fuller and longer, I am actually starting to love them!

What do you, Lovelies think? Do you like straight bangs? Would you get them yourself?
