I recently got an SLR camera for my birthday, because I have been obsessively looking and blogging photographs by some really amazing current photographers. They’ve served as an inspiration for me to really dive in, and start taking my own pictures. I’m still learning how to correctly use my camera, but in the meantime these five photographers are helping me quench that thirst for photography.

Dirk Mai is my favorite. I like how he keeps everything really real. Photography’s cool.. I experiment with it a little myself.

Cool. I’m a photographer as well. It’s amazing how one’s perspective about the world changes once one gets into photography. It’s like the most average and ordinary things can suddenly look so beautiful. It also helps one better appreciate other’s photographs (and also better see the flaws…).

Oooh. I’m a photo major and obviously had to take the required History of Photography classes and such, and I hate history (and I’m horrible at it) but after taking the classes I actually love it now. My favorite from the later 1900′s would probably be M. Richard Kirstel.

I love photography! My 2nd year taking photography in High School, and im totally absorbed in it. The smell of the chemicals, the darkness of the film loading room. The way pictures magically appear on the photo paper after you put it in the developer.. its like a whole new world!
