The Situation’s dad is SO uninvited from Chicken-Cutlet Night!
Frank Sorrentino, the estranged father of the Jersey Shore star, is promising readers a real-life look at what his GTL’ing son is really like in Confrontation With Situation. Papa Sitch claims his book will talk about the hardcore life his son led before skyrocketing to infamy on MTVs hit reality show.
What could this gentleman have done in his past life that wasn’t exposed on Jersey Shore? According to daddy: “hardcore partying, drugs, sex, crime elements…” Did his dad watch the show? I’m pretty sure all of these things were covered in the first two episodes of season 1. Not really groundbreaking stuff here, Frank.
But apparently there’s more to the story than meets the eye. Frank claims “put his f**king balls on the line for [Mike] 100 f**king times,” but when Frank got into a situation of his own, Mike “left me hanging.” According to people who know the Sorrentinos, when Frank needed help making insurance payments, Mike wouldn’t pony up his hard-earned dough, but rather, told his father to move south and let the government help him out.
Papa Sitch vented to TMZ.com about his son in an expletive laced video (the words are bleeped out, so it’s up to you to decide whether or not it’s NSFW) that comes complete with dramatic theme music. The moral of this story? “When you get to the top and you forget where you come from, somebody should remind you. I just wanna remind you.”
In a statement, The Situation’s rep said, “Mike is extremely saddened by his estranged father’s actions. The Sorrentino family, Marc, Frank Jr., Melissa and their mother, Linda, remain united with Mike under these hurtful circumstances.”
Will you read Confrontation With Situation when it hits bookshelves? What Jersey Shore character would you like to see a tell-all written about?

I value the few brain cells I have in my head far too much to damage them by reading that book.

I don’t think I’ll necessarily read it as I’ve watched the videos. While I can’t make a completely valid opinion about the situation as I don’t know the whole entire story, I don’t think Mike’s father’s accusations are too far fetched. When you observe how Mike acts on the show, he does tend to give off that vibe that he only does what’s good for him and doesn’t really consider anyone else’s feelings. I mean if I were rich and famous, I’d do anything to help out my family because that’s what a family does to support each other. I feel that because we depend on our family throughout most of our younger lives and the tables will eventually turn to the point where we’re at an age where our parents may need to depend on us.
Many people accuse Mike’s father of using his son as a cash cow but I truly think he asked his son for a favor and Mike didn’t want to do it (yet again, I don’t know the whole story to say who is wrong/right).
While I do think his father is acting out in a childish manner, I also think he did it to get Mike’s attention. To let him not forget “where he came from.” Hopefully they’ll be able to take their relationship aside and work it out privately though.

If this suprises anyone I’m not sure what to think about people anymore lol. Especially if you watch the show you know they are a bunch of immature brats with very little intelligence. If for a second you thought anything otherwise then you are really shitty at being a good judge of character.

Yeah, I’m not reading any of those books and I would really rather wish the entire cast just… Dropped dead.
