As if a healthy baby boy weren’t a good enough gift, Rachel Zoe‘s husband, Rodger Berman, decided a little bling wouldn’t hurt in celebrating the arrival of little Skyler Morrison.
Berman visited Neil Lane who designed a “push present” for Berman’s baby mama.
A nearly 10 carat push present.
Here’s what the designer had to say about his cushion-cut diamond ring:
Rodger wanted to surprise Rachel with something romantic — and huge. I knew she’s wanted a cushion cut forever. It was their first baby and she’s been working so hard that Rodger wanted to do something very special. Rachel was thrilled and hasn’t taken it off since!
Mission accomplished, Mr. Berman. It’s romantic and huge, for sure. I wouldn’t take that thing off either!
Rach and Rodg, do you guys need a surrogate for your next kid?
What do you Lovelies think of “push presents”?

Whatever happened to simply having a baby and being thankful for having a baby?

@Aaliyaan@xanga - I concur.
OP:
Everything feels too materialist these days…though I don’t know anything about push presents.

Could I pawn it and use it to pay my college tuition? And buy a car that runs? The list could go on…

@thepsychoticraccoon@xanga - Hey I hear you. I can pawn that off and pay for my student loans. I never even heard of a push present, why is it called that?

@millionofstars@xanga - ’cause they pushed a baby out.

This is fucking bullshit if this is the guy’s way of saying “thanks for doing all the work of parenting my fetus for me”. It’s an ugly ring. Whatever, rich people do really stupid things with their money sometimes… because they can.

It’s sweet.
@starcrossedloversdivine@xanga - Because getting things handed to you for having done nothing is so much more noble than doing something valuable for rich people for which they willingly pay you.

My “push present” from our first child’s birth, was having a healthy baby. My hubby also got me a beautiful, comfy robe, but I don’t really categorize that as a “push present”. It was more a “you need this in the hospital” thing. But it was a great little gift!
