I wouldn’t wear it…cause it wouldnt look good on me

I actually have a lot of lace, just because I absolutely love it.. but no matter how good a black lace t-shirt with a bra underneath.. I wouldn’t wear it, because yes, it is sexy.. but it is also, to me, trashy. I don’t know if it’s just my morals creating this opinion or what, but I do know that if I wasn’t me, I would wear it in a heartbeat if I didn’t care. I always wear a black cami under my lace shirts.. it’s kind of depressing to waste such a good lace shirt out like that, but I’m glad you did and I wish I had the balls to!

people at clubs wear them how you wore it  i wouldnt wear them to go out and eat though its too much to me. I prefer a bit of lace here and there but not the whole thing.

I think they’re tacky looking honestly. Like… I love lacy things so this isn’t like a “Ugh Im fat and cant wear it so Ima put it down for everyone!” but just a it doesn’t look nice thing.

It depends. I’ve seen shirts that are half-lace or something like that. Then I don’t find it slutty.

Wear a Cami or tank top undernearth! That’s what I do.

I love lace tops.  But I probably wouldn’t wear one out unless I had a cami underneath, not because other girls would think I’m slutty, but because other guys would think I’m slutty, which means lots of unwelcome advances.  Personally I really like the look of just the lace top with a bra underneath and it would be great to show off (sort of) my tattoos, but honestly guys would probably assume I’m a ho.

Neither. It’s classy, to me at least. They look better with a cami underneath though. I own a black and a white one, kind of sheer like the model is wearing and I love them.

I wore it in the 90s.  When I was wearing it with just a bra underneath, I was completely aware of how slutty it looked.  If I wanted to look less slutty, I wore a cami underneath it.  I would never attempt the look now because I am old enough to know better.

Certain lace tops can be classy. But I don’t like the ones people wear with just a bra underneath. It just seems too much like lingerie to me.

I like to wear a nude colored cami underneath if I’m going to dinner.  But if I’m clubbing, it’ll just be the bra under the top.

I love lace. I think I’d always pair it with a tank (or at least a bandeau) though. Personal preference, I don’t think you always look slutty with just a bra on. Depends on how it’s done!

I have a few lace shirts and I love them. I have never considered wearing them with just a bra underneath though. That takes it from sexy to trashy. Just wear a tank top underneath it or a bandeau. Bras are supposed to be kind of intimate and if you let everyone see them, you’re of course going to get unwanted comments because people are going to think you’re easy and down for anything. At least that would be what I think haha.

The ensemble in the photo looks a little too coquettish for my taste… But I did recently wear a lace top with a bandeau bra beneath and tucked it into a high waisted skirt. Just a little midriff skin showed through and I thought it was a good solution..

i wear lace and fishnets all the time and i’ve never not worn a shirt over or under it. i think its a strange fashion craze, but [lets be real now] since fat people can’t pull it off, its not going to last long. good for you that you tried it.

It looks slutty when all you wear under it is a bra. A cami or tank top goes a long way in changing that, and instead of being dominated by lace (because that also kind of says “trying too hard to look hot”), it’s just an overtone on regular clothes. Looks effortless and pretty.

I love lace tops but only a small amount of lace. I have a couple of shirts where its just lace on the back and I think that without showing too much skin I can feel sexy…even though I’m too much of a dork to actually where them out in public

not my style. I prefer subtle lace accents and not an entire shirt made of lace.

i think it looks nice, but maybe put something over the bra, like a cropped tank top or a bandeau top. or even wear one of those bras that go further down your waist, if you get what i’m talking about here. also, i almost always think they look better with a skirt or pants or whatever that is high waisted. but that’s just me.

With just a bra under it, yeah that’d look slutty.  But there are lots of ways to wear a lacy shirt without showing off your bra.  The boys will get the wrong idea.

they look way better if you wear them over a T shirt, and certain types of dresses. the layering gives a sense of depth, intent, and thoughtfulness

just fyi. the sense lace offers is wistful; other worldly. to wear as in that pic is ‘succubus’, still other worldly but perhaps not the right world.
with a bra that clashes with your skin? bad…
with a skin tone shaded bra or tube-top (hides cleavage), they can be really pretty. but also are close enough that you can come across as slutty too. i suggest you use it like lingerie.

Aw. If you knew you were going to get some attention you didn’t entirely want, it would be better to save that kind of thing for when you are wanting that attention, lol. It’s like when women wear low-cut tops then get annoyed for men staring at their chests… it’s going to happen, like it or not.

Anyway, I think it’s sexy and cute if there is more coverage going on… the bra look is hot but I wouldn’t want the attention it brings. I wouldn’t wear the lace top except with a pretty, dark, thin camisole beneath, just to cover a little more torso. Maybe a bit of belly showing is okay, if you wear a smaller camisole, but only a bra beneath is def too much (too little .

i have a black lace top from freepeople that i really like. i wear a tank under it. i’m sure it would attract more attention if it was just a bra or a bandeau under it, but i get (good) comments on it. c: I think a good way to wear it is with a tube top under/over it, tank under/over it, or even a tshirt over it so the sleeves show.

I think it only depends on what you wear underneath. Maybe instead of a bra, wear a tank top. Black tank top. And if you get the same kind of comments as before, then it’s the lace.

I love lace, and when I buy those shirts I usually get the ones with the lace in the back. I think the whole shirt as lace is a bit risqué  but I’t also depends how comfortable you feel and what you like

Please don’t anyone take this the wrong way.. but I just don’t like it when someone who is clearly not the right shape/size tries to wear this kind of thing. I have a friend that I fucking love to pieces and she’s gorgeous, but she is not very thin and insists on wearing this. It’s just very unflattering. God, I hope nobody tears me a new one for saying that. 

I have no idea what they’re called or anything, but I have a little stretchy bra/tank type thing that is just like a tube top, but thinner. I have a few different colours and wear them under sheer/see through tops instead of camisoles or tank tops. Something like that would be good. Bra only can work in some situations/on some people, I don’t think it’s slutty. 

I think it’s slutty to wear just a bra under it. If you wear a cami or something, then it’s sexy. I’m just saying…it’s basically like wearing a fishnet shirt with nothing underneath. It looks like you’re hardcore trolling for strange.

i think that they can be cute on the right body and paired with the right top underneath. if you’re going to a club then sure a bra might be fine if you feel completely comfortable. but i think that when you look in the mirror and feel even the slightest bit skanky its probably a good idea to throw an electric colored tank-top underneath the lace and over the bra. clothing is only hot when you feel hot in it, and skanky when you feel like a skank. its as much about the clothes as your attitude while wearing them.

Or wear a black cami underneath the lace tops! I wear camis if the shirt is too see through. Honestly, I couldn’t just wear it with my bra showing. It really does remind me of how my mother dresses and it is quite trashy too. 

You honestly considered going out in that? I’d be surprised if there weren’t places that would nail you for public indecency in something like that.

I have seen an older women wear a red one to my husbands, parents, church when i was a teen… all she had was a black bra under… lol can you guess how many men got smacked in the back of the head for even slightly breathing in her direction? lol.

i think it’s a little trashy to wear with just a bra. i use a colorful cami and add a pop of color while still being able to see the lace.

It really depends on the context. Wearing to school? Slutty. Wearing to a club? Sexy.

I personally love lace, but this look I don’t really like.  But then again, I prefer lace on dresses and such (I just bought a dress with purple lining and black lace on top)

To me, it’s not appropriate – but thats my honest opinion. Wear what you want to, but its sending a messege out there that you may not want - especially practically showing your goods. If its like in the picture- your basically going out in just your bra. That amount of clothing is somewhat acceptable for bathing suits, but to walk out into public in a bathing suit is a little weird too unless your on the beach. Its also provoking a lot of negative comments – both of those offended and those who take flirting too far (which the latter is not acceptable, not making the excuse for them.)…so I definately would not be walking anywhere alone at night wearing that, not that I would walk alone at night. Others may find it okay, but to me – its a little on the “slutty” side. *shrugs* that IMO though, do what you will and enjoy your life. 

I do agree with others though, a cami or tank would look fantastic underneath. =)

It really depends in my opinion. If the woman doesn’t have too much going up there for her, then I don’t think it’d be as “slutty” as the woman who is well endowed. But I say it’s also how you carry yourself, what the occasion is, and what kind of person you are too.

I love these shirts! I’ve worn it underneath a black crop top (which was amazing) and under a see-thru gray shirt (the materials combined weren’t seethru, but created a cool texture).

I don’t really think it’s slutty, but a lot of people do, and a lot of guys will probably hit on you since they can see your bra.

Tank underneath (of a different color if you’d like to play off the lace more). I don’t really think bras should be visible in public…but I’m pretty conservative.

exes wore these in the past. they normally wore an undershirt with it and not just a bra, so yeah its slutty in a way, but who cares? do what you want. I think its hot.
