To answer the classy lady on the right’s question…yes!
For 99 cents, this app does make you look fat.
Available in the iTunes app store, FatBooth will instantly balloon a picture of your currently thin face, adding in a nice double chin or three.
You can then share your new look through email, text, FaceBook, Twitter. All you need to do is have a front facing photo and upload it to the app. Voilà! You’ve instantly gained dozens of pounds without even doing anything (ironically, you can also gain dozens of pounds in real life by not doing anything).
Here’s some celebs who’ve fallen victim to the FatBooth:
The disclaimer on FatBooth says it’s for entertainment purposes only, but it got me thinking.
Is this a good tool to use to keep yourself motivated to stay healthy? Can seeing how you’d look with some extra pounds around your face scare you into staying fit? Another disclaimer: the app “does not guarantee resemblance to the real fattening process.”
Would you pay $.99 for an app that makes you look fat? Would you use it as a weight loss or weight maintenance tool?
