It’s never too early to worry about looking good in your onesie! For $23.95, you can get your baby a tot-sized tee featuring the “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” slogan infamously promoted by Kate Moss. One fish, two fish, red fish, start dieting! [Huff Post]

I wouldn’t be caught dead with that on my child.

I didn’t think there was anything tackier than a “R&R Baby” onesie. I was wrong.
daisy / 599 posts
That’s crazy.
guest
Yeah, that’s unnecessary.
guest
What the hell?
“I just bought a life into the world, but I plan on feeding it slowly with death. Before it’s 15 it’ll be able to kill itself all on it’s own!”
these companies have issues, my god!
guest
lol I’d totally buy it for my child. SO funnny!!!

@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - Its not funny…its sad, disgusting and any parents that has this on their child deserves to get their kid taken away. Eating disorders are not something to laugh about.
OP:…These people need to be shot >.<
guest
I am probably going to hell because I think it is funny. I can’t help it though. The idea of seeing that on cute little round baby and toddler bellies is funny because they have round bellies. Now, the child sizes they have is kind of weird since that age is more impressionable, but I doubt your toddler or baby is really going to pay attention to what you put on them that much.

@UnconventionalButterfly@xanga -Good thing babies can’t read, right?
Maybe if children were taught that it WAS a joke, they wouldn’t start starving themselves like stupid idiots.
dahlia / 2103 posts
Umm, wow. If I saw anyone whose baby was wearing this, I would immediately assume they have issues, because that is messed up. If you want to wear a t-shirt with that lovely catchphrase on it then fine, but don’t put it on a BABY.
guest
Ugh, that’s disgusting.

@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - But eating disorders are NOT a joke.
guest
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - I’m sorry but… what the fuck is wrong with you? How the hell is that funny?
guest
that’s disgusting
magnolia / 1042 posts
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - kids are extremely impressionable and wouldn’t understand that this is a joke. and when kate moss said it, she certainly was not joking. you’re right, babies can’t read but i do think it’s awful to put this on a onesie or onto kid’s clothing.
i would never buy this, it needs to be taken down.
guest
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - Kate Moss wasn’t joking when she said it in the first place. & even if it was a joke (which it clearly fails at being because jokes are supposed to be funny), it’s completely in bad taste.
guest
That is sick.
guest
0_0 Babies don’t care about being skinny, they care about being fed and not sitting in a dirty diaper. I don’t get it.

it’s hilarious!

I ordered a custom t-shirt from Zazzle, and the quality was poor, especially for the cost. It looked nothing like the design I created, and the material used to print an image on the shirt was really thick and vinyl-y.
Never mind the message on this onesie; I’d advise that you don’t buy it simply because it’s a crappy, expensive product.
guest
Hmmm… Let me go get a knife to stab whoever thought of putting these phrases on baby clothes…
guest
And why did someone think this was something to put on clothing, let alone clothing for babies and toddlers? That quote is currently a huge mantra in the pro-eating disorder world and Kate Moss was definitely not making a joke. To try to use it as a selling point or as a joke is completely tasteless and would desensitize kids to eating disorders and the meaning of the quote. It makes no sense at all. *sigh*
guest
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - People don’t have eating disorders because they’re “idiots” but my explaining this to you wouldn’t matter simply because of the comments you’ve already made; your skull’s too damn thick. Hope you never procreate
guest
@ohforrealson@xanga - THANK YOU!! i wish there was more awareness about eating disorders and not the textbook/ doctor version…i wish people suffering didnt feel so ashamed and everything so that we would share our stories so people would understand. of course some people are so close minded it wouldnt matter and sometimes sharing can trigger people so it seems like a lose lose situation. but regardless ….Are people with cancer idiots as well or diabetics. seriously no one wakes up and says Golly gee i think i will start throwing up my food today. or i think i will overeat or i think i will stop eating or excercise until i cant move anymore i mean really …if it wasnt pure hell i would almost wish it on some people that are judgemental
guest
@ohforrealson@xanga - I’ll pop out an extra ten just for you.
In fact, they’ll hear that they’re fat at least 3 times a day before they’re 10 years of age. You’re welcome.

This shirt comes from one of those sites where the person designs a logo, and people can order it on whatever they want. The site photoshops the logos onto the the item being ordered so the baby wasn’t psychologically harmed by the photoshoot. It wore a white onesie. No person in their right mind would order it for a child. The fact that the story comes from the Huff Post says that it is a slow news day and people obviously don’t have anything better to talk about.
guest
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - would you do it one at a time or the way of the Octomom and get it all done in one pop?
guest
@Erika_Steele@xanga -
might as well have em all at one go. Why waste time?
guest
I don’t get it on any level. Don’t get where it’s “funny”, or “clever”, or even where it’s completely disgusting… it just seems stupid. Idk. It’s not really very cute, and babies are naturally chubby anyway. Plus it’s not a really G-rated concept. I’m just… baffled, I suppose.
guest
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - God be with ya, douchebag
@justwant2belovd@xanga - Exactly, people think it’s alright to say stupid shit, but I wonder how they’d feel if it hit close to home? This girl in my sociology class made a comment about “if you’re dumb/weak enough to kill yourself, you deserve to die” and I got in her shit and asked her, what if your momma offed herself? Would you feel the same way? and she didn’t have shit to say (this is a girl who has a comment for everything and has argued with half the class over dumb shit)
People sicken me, they really do
guest
@ohforrealson@xanga - I completely agree with you.
guest
This makes me fucking sick. I fear I’ve really lost all of my hope in humanity.
guest
ummm
wait what???!!!!
guest
Wow… just wow. -.- This is terribly sad. What the fuck is society coming to? Isn’t it bad enough that we have girls glorifying and flaunting their eating disorders? This company is going to get slammed with law suits I think.
guest
Not my child.
guest
The whole defense of your child not being able to read or “getting it” isn’t the point. There’s just some aspects of “adult humor” and conversations that should be nowhere near an INFANT or child’s clothing. How hard is that to understand? I think it’s possible to be a hip, modern parent without bringing such a heavy issue onto your kid’s chest. It’s really not funny. Maybe that makes me some kind of square, but I just don’t think it’s right to make a joke out of everything. It’s sad people feel the need to make things like this and call it “cute” or meaningless.
I don’t know too many people–and this includes people who are my age WITH children this size–who would want their precious ones in a onesie with such a messed up message. It’s better off being a rag for a spill. What happened to age-appropriate gear? When did it become so uncool to have cute sayings instead of tripe like this?
guest
If you actually take this seriously, you need to lighten up- alot. Its obviously suppose to be a joke. Babies are tubbie and they will eat almost anything, its suppose to be ironic.
guest
Please tell me this is a joke.
guest
Imagine you’re trying to feed a baby wearing this shirt and they spit out the mashed up green peas or they turn their head away when you try and feed them. LOL.
guest
This is horrible.
guest
@LonerKat@xanga - I feel the same exact way!
@QualDerWahl@xanga - Thank you
@alayshaj@xanga - If a parent’s gonna buy this for a baby, they’re bound to get their young daughters shirts that have “Sexy” emblazoned across the front. And eating disorders/body image issues are occurring earlier and earlier nowadays, with kids who just keep getting younger and younger. Irony doesn’t have a place with this, and I say this cos if you’re the type of parent (now or someday, I don’t know) who would affect your kid that way, let’s say our kids wind up in the same elementary school class, and your kid’s actions/thoughts rub off on mine. Nah fuck that, that’s ridiculous
guest
@ohforrealson@xanga - Well, I wouldnt be corrupting my children by sending them to public school in america in the first place
But no, I dont agree with you. Communicate with your children and they wont get shit mixed up.
sunflower / 312 posts
Soooo tacky.
daisy / 617 posts
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - Don’t worry, I get your sense of humor. It’s funny, if we had dicks, no one would bat an eyelash at a crass comment. But alas, being a part of the ‘fairer’ sex sucks.
guest
@ohveryoung@xanga -
aw, thankyou. I agree! My boyfriend couldn’t stop chuckling!
guest
@theflowerstem@xanga - haha sooo funny!
guest
oh my god… that’s sick. that’s such a widely used pro-ana/mia, thinspiration phrase, how could someone EVER put that on a piece of kid’s clothing?
guest
@ohforrealson@xanga - Completely agree with you 100 percent.
guest
@theycallmecheza@xanga - Thank you
guest
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - They aren’t just making them in baby sizes though. They are also making them in sizes for kids up to about 6. Would you let you 6-year-old wear it????
guest
@snarkius@xanga - don’t underestimate how impressionable toddlers are. No, it’s probably not going to affect your baby, but toddlers…maybe.
guest
@alayshaj@xanga - they make it in kids sizes too, not just for babies. So, it isn’t as ironic as you think that it is.
guest
@Ms_Lola_Mae@xanga - lol no. my 6 year old is sticking to tutus.
guest
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - so then why do you think that it is so funny?
guest
@Ms_Lola_Mae@xanga - haha you’re asking me why my sense of humor is the way it is? This is a pointless conversation. It is what it is.
Truthfully, you can be as concerned (about me or my children) as you wish to be and I doubt it’ll change anything.
I’ll still laugh at the thought of it.
guest
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - wow. It was really just a question. I didn’t need a smart-ass answer back. I wasn’t trying to be rude, I was asking a legit question.
P.S. It has nothing to do with sense of humor. I have a sense of humor that makes me laugh at things similar to this, but yet I somehow still don’t find this funny. So, you could have answered the question, but if you choose not to, then not my problem.
guest
@Ms_Lola_Mae@xanga - I wasn’t trying to be rude, either. You interpreted it as you did.
guest
@Ms_Lola_Mae@xanga - We arent talking about kid sizes… The title is “Get your baby started on the eating disorders early.”
I still feel that it is humorous. You dont have to, I dont actually care.
guest
@alayshaj@xanga - I was just stating a fact. Even if the title is about getting babies started on eating disorders, it’s not like you can just pretend that they aren’t making it for kids as well.
guest
@Ms_Lola_Mae@xanga - As I said… I dont actually care. Go be bored to someone else.
guest
@alayshaj@xanga - Wow. Here I was trying to have an actual semi grown up conversation and you decided to just be a bitch.
guest
@Ms_Lola_Mae@xanga - I still dont care.
This “conversation” is no more! *poof*
