NBC has released the photos of Adrienne Palicki dressed as the role of Wonder Woman for their new series. I was very excited to see my favorite superhero revamped for the 21st century. I wanted to see what kind of exciting spin they would give my childhood role model… until I saw this.

I think this costume is badly designed. For one, Wonder Woman’s original outfit consisted of shorts and red calve-high boots. This new style has long, blue pants that become Palicki’s shoes. This version is not only tacky, but also incorrect. The original Wonder Woman would never be caught dead in shoe-pants.

Secondly, I can see the sexed-up series already. The exaggerated cleavage on Palicki explains why a movie now-a-days can’t make a buck without at least one gesture toward sex and in this case, TWO. Adrianne Palicki is practically falling out of her corset. How do the new creators of the series plan on having her flying around kicking villain butt without losing her bustier?

Take a look at the original Wonder Woman and make your own comparison.
