Twitter just turned five years old (where has the time gone?!) and to celebrate it’s anniversary, Time Magazine created a list of their Top 5 Favorite Tweets of all time.

1.) Barack Obama: Wins 2008 Election and tweets the following on November 5: “We just made history. All of this happened because you gave your time, talent and passion. All of this happened because of you. Thanks”

2.) On January 15 2009, Janis Krums, a passenger on the US Airways Flight 1549 used Twitter to give Americans a glimpse of what had happened when that plane was struck by birds and safely landed in the Hudson saying: http://twitpic.com/135xa – There’s a plane in the Hudson. I’m on the ferry going to pick up the people. Crazy.”

3.) Astronaut TJ Creamer sent the first tweet from space (220 miles above the earth) on January 22, 2010 saying “Hello Twitterverse! We r now LIVE tweeting from the International Space Station — the 1st live tweet from Space! :) More soon, send your ?s”

4.) On September 4 2010, nearly a year later, Kanye West tweeted the following with regards to interrupting the 2009 MTV VMA’s: “I’m sorry Taylor.” Better late than never, right?

5.) And finally, 20 days ago, Charlie Sheen tweeted this after destroying the 24 hour twitter follower record: In all sincerity… Thank you Twitter community for the warm reception & the followers that helped get me to 1M in 24 hours!!! #teamsheen”

Wow. I have to say that some of these are my favorite tweets as well. I admit that I follow Charlie Sheen…and Kanye…and Obama. What do you Lovelies think of these tweets? Or have you seen better ones?
