Maybe I just like personalization in my outfits, but I love charm bracelets. I have a traditional one and a Pandora-like one.
My traditional one has several charms on it, and I tend to like it more because of this. I have had it a lot longer, which is one of many reasons it has more charms.
I love both charm bracelets. I just need to get more charms for my Pandora-esque one. They are just so darn expensive. Why is that? Traditional charms aren’t typically $15 a piece, for one that isn’t even great quality. The glass bead ones are pretty cool though.
So what do you think, are charm bracelets a classic fashion statement or just old-fashioned?
P.S. On March 5 I got 4 new beads/charms for my Pandora-esque one. I’m loving it now!

I’ve never had a charm bracelet. Though I can understand the appeal of “building your own bracelet.”

I haven’t had one since I was a child. They aren’t my style, but I think they are classic. I think if I ever got one, it would only have one charm.

old-fashioned. effin $30 charms!!! But, it’s so cute. Love it.

I just got a non-traditional one, meaning it wasn’t supposed to be a charm bracelet, but since the charm fits, it’s cool with me. I only have 1 charm right now though, but I can see that it’ll get expensive. Whoever created charms sure knows how to make money off of it!

CLASSIC~!! Where did old fashioned come from? I have yet to see them go out of style. I want an old fashioned one.

I adore charm bracelets.

I had a charm bracelet with bells on it when I was a kid. I’ve seen cute charm bracelets, but I haven’t purchased one. I like arts and crafts, and made a couple bead bracelets with personalized names before. I like making them, but I don’t wear them. I’m more of an artisan and collector than wearer.

Charm bracelets are amazing. I have a Juicy Couture starter charm bracelet and OMG, collecting charms for it is so cool. I try to get charms that reflect the activites that I do or have done and charms that represent my feelings or beliefs.

i love charm bracelets! i got one for Christmas last year! i’m not a huge fan of the pandora style bracelets though.

My uncle apparently got me a charm bracelet when I was younger (with charms). My mom got me a Pandora bracelet for my birthday last year. I actually really like the Pandora bracelet because (to me) it seems a bit more grown up. And you can make a wish list at a particular store of the charms you want and people can get it for you. There are some that are $15 or $30 dollar ones there (which are the silver ones and the gold ones get more expensive). But since I made a wish list, I was able to keep the cost of the charms fairly down and I didn’t feel like a fortune was being spent on just one charm. And I was able to pick out my own charms.

Girl! Just go full out and get a Pandora bracelet! I work there and let me tell you every thing is of best quality. Sterling silver (in case of any allergic clients), 14 karat gold, every thing is interchangeable. I have a lot of customers come in saying this is one of the best inventions ever invented! (because if you don’t know what to get someone, well, get them a charm! :] ) I believe it’s expensive but it’s not something you are going to just throw away, you wear it every day so best invest in something with top notch quality.

Classic, I still wear them and so do my friends.

I love them. The bring back memories. But I wouldn’t wear them though, I feel they are old fashioned.

@Proud2B2003@xanga - The Pandora ones are definitely more grown-up feeling. I love mine, even though it’s a Brighton one and not a Pandora one. Great quality and the charms aren’t super expensive. There is less selection than Pandora though I’ve noticed.
