Hahaha. I am probably the only one that finds this really funny, a bit indifferent, but hilarious still.

@i_heart_tha_80s@xanga - My exact thoughts -_-

my brother and i made a joke about it right after it happened too. we just didn’t do it publicly.

I’m not one for bad words but what a fucking bitch. He’s not here seeing the despair of not knowing if your wife and kids are alive or not. I have so many more words for him but I’ll refrain from them. Some of us aren’t sitting on thrones of gold, tweeting. We actually are racing against time to save people. Bitch.

… and this is why I can’t even have a little bit of respect for anyone who listens to his music.
It is my sincere hope that him and anyone who laughs at this goes through a similar if not worse tragedy.
And way to make your entire race look bad, asshole. Like Chris Rock said…
guest
I wonder if anybody will want to save him from his tsunami of troubles. I am sure he will have a lot for making that comment.
guest
What a dick. That’s why I don’t listen to his bullshit lyrics.
guest
Wow. This is exactly why I’m not fond of rappers. They all seem so ignorant and completely narcissistic. Yes, the world revolves around you and your money. Ugh. Well, all I can say is karma is a bitch. My thoughts and prayers have and will continue to be with the people of Japan. I can’t imagine the pain and suffering they are dealing with right now. They don’t need stupid American rappers making fun of their plight.
guest
Someone’s always gotta be tactless; it’s inevitable.

How ignorant and heartless can you be to make light of such a heartwrenchingly devastating situation!
If you lost your family and everything you owned and found yourself trying to survive amidst consecutive major aftershocks, tsunami sirens shooting off everywhere, blackouts, and low food and water, you wouldn’t think there’s any joking about it.
Its just not funny. I am disgusted.
guest
haha and watch he donates more to help out Japan than any of you. Get over it.
guest
Hahahahahahaha
guest
meh, I don’t care. It’s a little funny. I wish he could spell though.
guest
he admitted that he is ignorant and does it intentionally for shock value, so it is a publicity stunt. although a scummy way to use the disaster to get attention to market himself as an ahole with a new movie out. in fashion related news, his style looks better than before.

@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - Pretty much. I already heard Justin Bieber donated a million dollars to Japan..not sure if it’s true or not.

@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - I agree. But thats not my context. I was making a hypothetical statement saying, in other words, grasp reality and imagine yourself in their shoes, and then try to make light of the situation without feeling your heart turn to stone

Someone else to take the weight off of Kanye… I bet Kanye hijacked 50′s twitter and posted that up.

Okay, that is inappropriate. But I have to guiltily admit that his stupidity is entertaining.

Yeah, that’s disgusting. What a dick.

makes me wanna punch him. this is like my friend who made a post on her facebook saying “dear japan, karmas a b*tch, this is for killing 20000 dolphins and 1000 whales from september to march EVERY YEAR [followed by a youtube link to "the cove"]” everyone started bitching at her. yeah. very inappropriate.
guest
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - exactly.
guest
I’m sure he cares more than most people, I like his take on it though, instead of saying the same old tired line, I feel so sorry for you, you’re in my prayers, he showed he cared in his own way.

@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - You know, that’s actually true. I hate to admit it. :/

NATURAL disasters, and manmade disasters happen all the time. It’s life. Get over it and laugh about it. I guess I’m tactless and ignorant too for not feeling totally sympathetic for what happened. Of course I don’t joke about it and I’m not taking pleasure in it.
Yes, it’s sad and all, but seriously. It’s all about who can survive. It’s a fallacy to believe that we live in a perfect world, where nothing “bad” happens and there are not struggles.
guest
@starcrossedloversdivine@xanga - LOL and then claimed it as originally his?
@shrewdinnocence@xanga - Unless you’ve actually been in a situation equivalent to that I don’t think you have grounds to suggest that kind of perspective on people.
Fuck that bitch. He should’ve got shot instead of Pac and Biggy. This is why I don’t listen to mainstream.
For the record let me clear this up…mainstream rappers and underground rappers are like night and day. So don’t put them all in one outhouse.
For example: Nujabes- “Think Different” ft. Substantial
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noXWN6JHEM4 w/ lyrics.
guest
He could have at least used proper grammar…
guest
@shrewdinnocence@xanga - Are you like the Tin Man, or what? How can you NOT be sympathetic… You’re right, tragic, natural disasters happen every single day- that’s why they call it “disaster.” If anything, it should make you even more sympathetic! Survival of the fittest is in evolution, not every day life. Not everyone is capable of surviving a 8.9 earth-shattering quake that moved the island of Japan 8 feet. Not everyone can survive 6-10 foot high waves tumbling down on everything they know.
That’s crazy to hear… Can you imagine if someone who was family to Katrina or the Hawaii/Japan thing, or even a victim of itself, hear you say that? Would you say that to their face? ……..wow. Crazy.
guest
@starcrossedloversdivine@xanga - I wish there was a like button here hehe

hellloooo its HOS. geez. get your slang right…

Prob shoulda kept this to himself due to all the hate he’s receiving, but then again, it’s 50 Cent. He knows there are people hatin’ on him, but I’m pretty sure he doesn’t GAF.
Personally, I find the quote amusing. It’s just humor. Humor is universal. Sometimes it’s f’d up, but it’s just a joke.
daisy / 568 posts
I actually laughed and I posted some stuff on my facebook like “Godzilla is attacking Japan!” and since it’s lent and we heard about it on friday I also put up “Sooo if I use up all my prayers on Japan, can I skip lent and eat meat?” I didn’t do it to hurt people, I did it for a laugh, why? Because people are going to freak out about this for 6 months to a year and then NO ONE WILL CARE. Just like what happened to Haiti, everyone cared for the first 6 months to a year and everyone donated and then a year later, BAM, no one cares anymore. Yeah, it’s sad but it was bound to happen. They get pretty bad Tsunami’s and yeah this one was bad but again, it was bound to happen. Is this considered Darwinism?
guest
Whateverrrrr >.<
50 cent is all high on drugs anyway. What more did you expect out of a complete bonehead? Not saying anything about him… he just pisses me off a wee bit.
guest
O____________O;;;
guest
it’s okay to joke abt it considering it’s fifty
but seriously keep it to yourself, this is offensive when ten’s of thousands of people are dying or dead
guest
It’s a shame that with all his money, he still hasn’t mastered the English language.

@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - true shit.
guest
@shrewdinnocence@xanga - I agree, I mean it was a natural occurrence and nothing could have been done to stop it.
Japan is right on the “Ring of Fire”….and about 90% of earthquakes occur along this Ring of Fire…so they just happen to live in a bad spot. 50 Cent was just making a joke…if he was praying and shit would that change anything? No. Does caring about Japan and keeping them in your thoughts change anything? No. People need to lighten up, yeah it’s horrible what happened but life goes on and if this shit was happening to the U.S. I wouldn’t give a shit what the Japanese were saying about it lol.
guest
I don’t really expect more from people like him or those that listen to him. They think the devestation of a country and death of 10,000 people is ok to mock. Kinda sad how dumb or detached you have to be to have to experience some thing for youself to be able to get how badly others are hurting. Some how they think its clever to mock the pain of all these people dying in the streets under rubble yet say some thing about a slain rapper and they suddenly are down your throat. Ignorant jack ass, how dose any one give people like this credit?
guest
@theflowerstem@xanga - I am sure those that are searching for their missing children and spouces, and living out of a tent are warmed to the core over his creative touching comments. Maybe he should quit trying to be different and use a few brain cells… if he really wants to show concern maybe he could donate to the cause, at least shut the hell up and spare us his comedy.
guest
hahahaha oh my god people need to stop taking things so seriously. why do you even all care about what he said? it doesn’t effect you or anyone at all actually, not even japan and it’s not even like he is actually being an asshole about it.
plus he is prob donating so much more than any of you ever would.
guest
Because of that comment he’s only worth 50 cents in change or just pennies.
guest
@blowingmoney@xanga - I doubt he is donating anything to Japan. He’s probably mocking the poor people hurt by the disasters while off buying some tacky expensive purchase.
guest
He should just shut up and donate some money.
orchid / 190 posts
it’s 50cent! how is anyone surprised?? even his name is cheap…
guest
@Aaliyaan@xanga - I could not have said it better, and I know what you mean about not being the cussing type.
guest
@MoonFaeEyryan@xanga - or maybe he’s worried and is trying to laugh it off because guys have been told to be unemotional freaks… I’ve know plenty of people who have laughed off grandparents dying because they couldn’t deal with it.
guest
he’s fiddy. you can’t take him seriously. nor do i expect him to be the most culturally sensitive guy.
guest
i dont get it… it’s not funny…
guest
@navywife86@xanga - There are good rappers out there that rap about issues in the world instead of bitches and hoes. Unfortunately, you never see them in the mainstream. :/
And I guess after seeing the image of all the facebook statuses of assholes saying that the disaster in Japan is “karma” for Pearl Harbor, this really doesn’t seem that bad. Tactless, sure. But I made a really bad joke regarding it too the other day, but just to one of my friends who provoked the joke, so…can’t really judge.
guest
I don’t care what he says. He could damn all of Japan to hell for all it matters. As long as he donates an amount of money that us non-famous regular people cannot, he can say what he likes. I’m pretty sure the little girl in Japan who lost her parents doesn’t give too shits about what someone somewhere says. Now if there’s money to improve her life, then we’re talking.
guest
Yeah. I’m not quite surprised.
These famous people/rappers think they got money, so they can say whatever and not care =/ And for all I know, the money that they supposedly donated is probably an idea from their managers to get them to look good in public
guest
@needtobreathe22@xanga - I’ve seen the after effects of the disasters and I’ve met and seen people who were affected by Katrina. Do you think that I should give them every exception to be miserable because such a horrible thing occurred? Are you saying that because bad things happen, I should just sit at home and immerse myself in negativity, feeling sorry for even being alive to experience and witness those horrible things?
Whether it is a big disaster like the tsunami or a small disaster like a parent’s divorce, it is all the same in the end. Some people can move forward and some can’t.
I don’t judge you for being all sad and sympathetic, giving your current prayers to this tragedy, so don’t attack me just because I am not stopping my life to be sad for the sake of Japan. I have to agree with @twenty_twenty_surgery@datingish that in a few months, less people will care because they’ll realize they have their lives to worry about too. I’m not the one putting up a pretense; maybe the difference with me is that I have accepted that these things happen and realize there’s no need to dwell, but to just take it for what it is and move along. Maybe you’ve been cushioned too much so you can’t accept that life’s tough. You live, you die, the end.
guest
why do people like making fun of other peoples misery??? does it make you feel powerful or something??? thats like saying america deserved 9/11. nobody dare say that.
one thing for one thing people.
granted, what 50 cents said wasnt that bad but i’ve read badder. no hope for some people, just no hope.
lily / 5148 posts
@shrewdinnocence@xanga - I have those same kind of feelings too…except they are mixed. It’s tragic but it’s life and that’s how it goes. It can’t really be changed. It’s terrible but like what @Sunny___Skies@xanga - said. They are basically a very earthquake prone country due to them living on the Ring of fire.
@shrewdinnocence@xanga - agreed so very much.
guest
@Digital_Angel21@xanga - If you need any good underground hip-hop artists and rappers that write about things with substance I have a list. There’s a reason why those types of artists decide to stay underground. I mean the only thing I listen to that’s mainstream now days is a little alternative rock and techno that’s about it.
guest
@blowingmoney@xanga - Such a small tiny simple mind…
guest
@MoonFaeEyryan@xanga - I don’t think he makes his race look bad, just himself.
What about Alexandra Wallace’s video made over the weekend? Does she make all white people look bad?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkQ5-7Ii3aU
Alexandra Wallace quotes: ”So we know that I’m not the most politically correct person, so don’t take this offensively…”"If you’re going to come to UCLA, then use American manners.”"Seriously, without fail, you will always see old Asian people running around this apartment complex every weekend. That’s what they do — they don’t teach their kids to fend for themselves.”"You know what they don’t also teach them? Is their manners. Which brings me to my next point: Hi. In America, we do not talk on our cell phones in the library! I swear, every five minutes I will be — OK, not five minutes, say like, 15 minutes — I’ll be like deep into my studying, into my political-science theories and arguments and all that stuff, getting it all down, like typing away furiously, blah blah blah… and then all of a sudden, when I’m about to like, reach an epiphany — over here from somewhere, ‘OHHH! CHING CHONG LING LONG TING TONG? OHHH!’“”So being the polite nice American girl that my momma raised me to be, I kind of just gave him … ‘It’s the library, like we’re trying to study, thanks!’ And then it’s the same thing five minutes later. But it’s somebody else, you know? I swear they’re going through their whole families, just checking on everybody from the tsunami thing. … Like, you seriously should go outside if you’re going to do that.”
guest
@MoonFaeEyryan@xanga - AMEN!
guest
people actually listen to this guy and go to his twitter???????
guest
@KageOokami@xanga - …ok
guest
My friend un-followed him after that tweet. I told her not to follow such a dumbass in the first place . . .
guest
@shrewdinnocence@xanga - I’m not really proud of how I approached this conversation. Thanks for not putting me in my place, like you should’ve done in the first place. I shouldn’t have pointed my finger at you, because there are times where I just want to shut out the word, all of the pain & disaster, so I’m not 100% guilt-free.
I agree with your reply, to a degree. I’m a Christian, and I believe that God wants us to mourn & be affected by these tragedies; but he also doesn’t want us to live our life accordingly/in fear, or be totally immersed in the very concept of disaster. One big reason I hate watching the news is that it’s ALL bad news, ALL the time. It’s very annoying. I do like to keep up with current events & be more aware of the world. I live in a very nice house in North America, so I have a really unfair advantage to these people. They grow, expand, & become stronger individuals because of disaster. Since I live in a pretty flood/tornado/earthquake-free state, I’ll probably never experience what these amazing people have. I’ve got it made. I don’t think it would be influential to just say, “Hey. These things happen, I can’t control them, and it does me no good to relish over them.” Which is true…but they’re not just there to affect the victims. Us, on the outside looking in, can be changed/affected by the disaster of others, too.
guest
…sometimes you just gotta laugh
guest
sigh. that’s disappointing ):
guest
He is illiterate and ugly. And insensitive.
guest
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - Donating money does not give you the right to make innapropriate comments about something that has killed thousand of lives.
guest
@youexistedtome@xanga - I don’t know. Hmm… what would people benefit more from? “Oh, no, Japan!!” or 200k? I wonder…
