Even though Anne Hathaway received mixed reviews as an Oscar co-host, you can’t deny how much of a treat it was to see her showcasing these lovely designer gowns (and one tux!) So, how do each of them stack up?

#1: The Atelier Versace, which she accessorized with Tiffany jewels, was my favorite. The sweetheart neckline and deep burgundy color flatter her statuesque figure and fair complexion beautifully.

#2: On its own, this Giorgio Armani Privé gown looks a little plastic-y, on Anne it looks modern and edgy. I’m so used to seeing her in red or black gowns that this one was a welcome surprise.

#3: Anne looks like a prettier, real life version of an Oscar statuette in this gold Oscar De La Renta gown. Love the flapper-inspired silhouette.

#4: Before I say anything about the suit, those Swarovski crystal-encrusted Brian Atwood heels are to die for. It’s a rare woman who can wear a tux and a high ponytail without looking gimmicky.

#5: This Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci number looks soft and classic — and perfectly fine as a dress –  but it doesn’t grab your attention like the bolder dresses do.

#6: I wasn’t a big fan of this Vivienne Westwood gown. Anne looks amazing (the gown was made just for her), and the black ruffles are a nice touch, but I’m tired of seeing fashion inspired by Black Swan.

#7: This Tom Ford gown looks like something Anne should wear….in 50 years.

Do you agree with my assessment? Which of these looks was your favorite?
