Honestly, as gross as some of us may think it is (which I do think it is), more power to her for having the confidence to feel and be sexy..even if it is with hairy legs!

Props to her for bucking the norm!

At least it’s not dark hair (like mine). You can almost hardly tell. That’s awesome that she has the confidence to show her legs without shaving.

heh, that’s cool. she’s brave. i don’t mind shaving my legs though… i like how smooth they feel, and even though if you’ve never shaved the hair it is rumored that it’s soft, i think it’d still bug me in a major way

It might be possible that she does shave, but she didn’t feel the need to do it at this particular outing, or she forgot or something else. Or maybe she really doesn’t shave. But either way, her hair blends in with her skin so it really isn’t that bad. Someone with pitch black hair and tan skin on the other hand…….

If you had that thin and light hair I’m sure many wouldn’t shave either.  Lucky her…

It’s not that big of a deal, I don’t always shave my legs.

Mo’Nique is gaining a following. Her leg hair is light but if it was dark, she would shave because people would notice.

i think her hairs are bleached a lot of girls in brazil don’t save either they bleach i think it’s called the golden shower because of the sun light reflecting off it

I have a friend who has hair so light you cant even tell she’s NEVER shaved. Congrats and all but I don’t have that luxury. 

When you wax you have to go through a “growing out” part. She is probablyin between waxes.

Uh, she clearly bleaches- that’s perfectly fine. The reason why people shave is because of the dark color of the hair- it doesn’t fit peoples’ aesthetic. But, bleach the hair, and the problem is solved. The only reason why people rarely bleach is because if you get the mixture wrong or go to a place that does it wrong, it’ll burn the shit out of you. Otherwise, when I was a kid, I used to say I’d bleach instead of shave. It’s a perfectly valid alternative.

I don’t think it’s gross.  I think it’s lovely!

She probably doesn’t shave it because it’s not dark. It’s nearly invisible. Also I don’t know why people think it’s gross not to shave your legs. I only shave my armpit hair / pubic hair because it’s uncomfortable to me not to, but my leg hair doesn’t bother me until it gets really long. The only reason I shave consistently now is for my boyfriend.

I like it.

i also have light hair, so i don’t shave my legs. the more you shave hair like that the darker and thicker it grows back, so when you don’t shave the fine, light hair (like she has) it feels no different than when you do shave… also, you can only ever see it in the light, like in the above pictures.

Yeah, I don’t think her legs are that bad. Sure, I’m just a little grossed out (due to being used to the norm of silky smooth legs), but it doesn’t bother me that much. Hell, if that bombshell had a good personality and was compatible with me, I’d let her grow as much hair on those legs as she fucking wanted! LOL

The whole shaved leg thing is less popular in other countries.  I have family in South America who say it’s really uncommon.
Judging from her name, I’m guessing she’s not an American…?

If she’s Brazilian, it’s common for women to not shave their legs. they actually bleach it so the sun can glisten off the hairs. there was a term for it, but i forgot what it was.

I wouldn’t do it. I love that just shaved feeling on my skin. I even shave my arms sometimes because I like the feeling so much.

Speaking as a guy, I think that’s great. I hate seeing girls complain about “having to” shave or put on makeup because they feel coerced. I see no practical purpose in leg shaving unless you’re an athelete or dancer. (Well, or unless your skinnies are bothering you. I know that sometimes they pull my leg hair a little bit.) Maybe women will feel freer to just do what they want because of Ms. Shayk.

Go, girl! If my leg hair wasn’t so dark I wouldn’t bother shaving it. Her legs look good, the hair looks nice and natrual, like she never started shaving her legs in the first place. I couldn’t see the hairy legs trend working with spikey stubble though.

@i_saw_myself_morior@xanga - I just have to say, I love how you worded that comment. I find it nuts that so many people think not removing hair is nuts. Grooming is a good thing, but the obsession we have with being perfectly body-hairless 24/7 is truly impractical.

i shave because i don’t wear pants when i sleep and it gets itchy and uncomfortable to me. i just like the feel of smooth skin better. but props to her, that’s awesome!

For leg hair like hers, it’s fine.  My wife has similar hair.  It is very soft and light, and you can almost never tell if she hasn’t shaved.  It feels fine, also, so I don’t mind.  But I’ve seen women with manleghair (coarse and dark), and sorry, but it’s ugly and not something I would want to feel.  I wouldn’t be cool with my woman not shaving if that were her leg hair.  But for lucky women like Irina and my wife, it’s ok.  Clarification:  She’s lucky because of her genes, not because she’s my wife.

If i looked like her I wouldn’t mind going natural as well x

@vixen_with_a_cause@xanga - Yeah it is. I didn’t start shaving until june of last year. Well, technically, I I shaved a few times (like 3 or 4) until I moved out and used nair once or twice. When I moved out, I started using nair until I realized I didn’t like the results and started shaving. When I can get away with not shaving, I do, only because…well it saves razors. Occasionally I skip a few days because I don’t want to deal with it…though I find now that shaving for grooming is so much easier sometimes.

I personally never shave my legs…I hate it…but I don’t have the confidence to show them off…Go her!!!!

My husband’s deployed, therefore I haven’t shaved in over two weeks.  Yeah, I like that smooth feel after shaving, but it’s just time consuming and without someone other than me enjoying the silky feel, why bother.  And I’ve saved a ton of $$ on razors alone!
