Oh God, YES! Many people wear tights as pants (God forbids), so please do wear underwear underneath.

im a dancer, when i dance i dont wear panties but its seriously just to avoid any lines, or color from showing, if im not on stage and in tights and a dress….heck yeah im wearing panties!

ummm… cotton or cable-knit tights were part of my school uniform for 14 years, obv my mother wasn’t going to send me out without knickers at age 4…

I wear my skivvies beneath tights… Doesn’t sound like it would be comfortable without ‘em.  However, I’ve heard of people wearing their skivvies OVER their tights… Now that’s really weird.

o-o; that sounds like it would feel funny… and its not at my comfort level, plus I’ve alway worn them when i was younger. So I’ll stick to my panties thank you <3  And I agree with the person that said people who wear them as pants should wear panties. I’ve seen a girl at the mall do it. ;~; It was totally weird.

yeah, i agree. it feels weird not wearing panties with them. but as a dancer, panty lines in tights are very distracting, unprofessional, and unattractive.

i figure, do what makes you feel the most comfortable. commando or not.

I went commando with tights once…but it felt weird so I haven’t done it since then.  I like to wear undies, thank-you very much.

I always do because I always worry that if I sit wrong and get up, I might end up sporting a camel toe! I’ve seen so many girls at work no less, wearing just their leggings that’s pretty sheer and you can see everything!

wow i definitely don’t, but i guess i’m weird. i don’t like underwear though. i only wear it if i have a dress or skirt on. i don’t like two layers, especially since tights or skinny jeans can be so constricting anyway. i don’t understand the whole camel toe thing though. if i’m wearing tights/leggings, i definitely have something that goes well past my crotch on top so that’s not a problem…

@beautifultobthin@xanga - I’m a dancer too, and I never wear them when dancing, and have never thought anything different of it. But when I wear them normally I have never thought to not wear them, that’s just weird to me…

I tried going commando once and I felt like everyone could see through my pants and see my goodies. No way I would do it with tights.

growing up my mom always told me that they aren’t meant to have underwear underneath them, i never listened. i figured that’d be weird. i would never wear jeans without underwear so why would i wear tights without them too? i still wear underwear with them, it for the same reasons you listed and also just because i feel better having panties on. lol, makes me feel secure i guess, without them i would worry too much even if there wasn’t anything to worry about.

I never thought of not wearing them… although, I see their point.
But I can’t imagine not wearing any under… it’d be so uncomfortable.  And awkward.

One guy’s point of view:  I find it sexy seeing a girl wearing pantyhose with nothing underneath.  But if she doesn’t feel comfortable going without panties underneath, I probably won’t argue too often.

I only wear undies during my period because they are uncomfortable and I hate them, it’s healthy to let your vagina breathe. Srsly

I hate panties (unless I’m wearing lingerie and nothing else), but I wear them under tights (which is hardly ever, because I hate those too) – except for when I danced. 

Am I the only one who doesn’t? Hahhaha. Seriously. I wear super tight dresses with tights & if I were to wear panties you would FORSURE be able to see pantie lines.

a) they aren’t comfortable

b) if you get them in the right size and you have a bit of chunk, they ROLL DOWN. so you are spending all day trying to fix them, which is embarrassing

c) got to wear panties with them. I’d hate to be the one to miss judge my period and then be commando in panty hose….eww

d) i they need to make pantyhose that actually fit people other then skinny people. I have a bit of chunk i am trying to loose. I hate doing letter B in this list because most pantyhose are for skinny people. Plus, don’t say tummy control. sooo doesn’t work :/

I never wear underwear unless it’s that time of the month. So no, I don’t wear panties with tights. In fact I wear tights under my jeans so I don’t have to wear underwear.

I wear at least thongs underneath. I feel that the tights are still too exposing to the outside elements. Cotton underwear I feel protects my girly parts… lol

@Islandgirl566@xanga - they do make pantyhose for larger people. theres all sorts of sizing charts and different types. As someone whos smaller, it sucks going to the store and seeing only the bigger sizes left.

Um, if they aren’t sheer/transparent, sure, maybe I can adopt the idea of no undies, but if they ARE see-through…. HELL NO.  I’m not advertising my cooch for all to see.

Without underwear would be very uncomfortable. I don’t care what fashion says (and I’m a fashion major), I’m wearing underwear underneath. I tend to wear thigh-highs anyway.

They only time I would not wear underwear under them is if they were crotchless tights and wearing underwear would defeat the purpose, or if I were in a situation where panty lines would be a problem.

I’ve never heard of such rule before, but regardless, I’d still wear underwear under my tights. 

They do have some tights that have that liner so I guess you can go without the underwear. I wouldn’t though since tights never fit me in a way that would make that comfortable.

Although that person who made that article….she got her idea from ballet class. So she just hasn’t realized that not everyone follows what goes on in ballet class in the world outside of dance class. I see her reason but I hate how she called everyone freaks for wearing underwear. I think it’s a person-to-person thing…though if you don’t wear underwear, please actually wear tights as they are meant and not as pants.

i used to take off my panties when i’d go out with tights after a while when i was little. only cause they’d make my tights slide down. i didn’t know where to put my panties after taking them off, so i’d end up putting them OVER my tights. but i haven’t worn pantyhose since the 90′s. i’m sure i would go commando though
