Urban Outfitters is set to launch its first bridal collection, called Bhldn (get it?), on February 14th this year.
WWD reports that the wedding gowns will be priced from $1,000 to $4,000, and that the line will also include veils, shoes, wraps and eventually reception goodies like cake pedestals to place cards. The brand will start out online only and expand to 2 or 3 stores come 2012.

Hmm I’m surprised. I like what I see. The first one is unique and beautiful.

I would love a short and quirky dress for my wedding! So if this gives me good options I would buy a dress from there… sure!

looks cute!

I don’t get the collection name either, but everything looks pretty! Reminds me of what Anthropologie might have.

the second one is gorgeous! i wouldn’t wear it to get married in, but I might wear it as a wedding guest. Perhaps if it were in a different color, like pale pink, purple or blue. Just something slightly different to ivory so as to not step on the toes of the bride!

Huh… If I can’t afford Jim Hjelm, Monique Lhullier, or Reem Acra, I might check it out.
guest
i couldn’t ever see myself shopping there for my wedding. i don’t really like what i see from the pictures anyways.
guest
I don’t see anything that I like here, so nope.
guest
i really like the second dress!

I’m sure I’ll love it. (:

@SexyGamerGirl@xanga - Lol same here!
Though I don’t know if that’s gonna be happening.
But I don’t know, I don’t really care for these style of dresses. They all look kinda old and tan. I want my dress to be white, and not have an aged look to it.

BHDLN? huh. balding?
guest
they’re OK. but I’d like a real vintage wedding dress, not one that is made to look vintage.
guest
FAIL!

Finally! They’ve been advertising this for awhile, I was wondering when it’d finally come out
guest
someone needs to tell us what that name stands for? BHLDN? honestly…I’m not getting it.
guest
ohhh finally got my answer..
“Inspired by the Dutch word for “to keep,” BHLDN (pronounced “Beholden“)
was born from the obligation we feel to our customer—to help her love
and celebrate her family and friends.”
guest
i absolutely love that first dress! even though i am not getting married even close to the near future, i want that dress, now! not to mention the prices seem a bit more affordable than other wedding dresses.

i actually love the first one. put a red sash around it and i am actually tempted to check it out for real… probably not within my budget though. the second i like too, but its not something i would wear.

@SexyGamerGirl@xanga - YES!
I’m a tradiotional girl, I want a traditional looking one. Those are not. They look like… something that would come from UO, but not bridal-y.

@kinamorata@xanga - Me too!

I would if they were cute.. they’re hideous. Why pay 1,000-4,000 for something when you can get the same look from a thrift shop? honestly.

ii`d probably wear the shorter ones for parties and such… not for my wedding though =/
