Gotta agree with you on pretty much all of these. Emma and Anne especially look fantastic.

I loved Anne Hathaway’s, but I can’t say I really liked ScarJo’s. Tilda Swinton has always been rather eccentric on the red carpet. But you forgot Olivia Wilde! She was my favorite last night, with that huge gown and killer Louboutin heels. And she didn’t go over the top with it, she kept her hair simple and didn’t do accessories. Ahhh I just can’t get over how perfect she looked.

i actually kind of dig tilda’s look. so she went against the grain a little bit…

Uhm, I have to disagree with you on most of your “Best” choices.Those dresses are not attractive, no matter how beautiful the women in them are.

And Tilda Swinton always seems to do that. She rarely follows the trend of the evening gowns, but I feel like she usually doesn’t wear things that flatter her figure at all.

I have to say I don’t like any of the above sleeved dresses, only because I don’t really like how the shoulders look in any of them. ><

Tilda Swinton scares the shit out of me.

Anne and Scarlett were my favorites. I do like Natalie’s dress, because the rose bud is like a metaphor for the baby she’s carrying… =)  Oh, and Helena Bonham Carter’s dress. Awesome.

I dunno, January Jones isn’t really doing it for me. Her dress makes me think of a stripper or bellydancer or something who’s trying to find an outfit she can wear outside of work too…

I’m surprised Helena Bonham Carter wasnt on the worst list. She always makes me go “WTF?!” but I DO have to give her props for doing her own thing. Even if it’s weird to others. She’s a pretty & wonderful actress, which is more than I can say for alot of people…

I don’t understand all the hate I’ve been reading about Natalie’s look. I thought she looked incredible, my breath even caught when I saw her on the carpet!

Disagree with all your ‘bests’ . I think they all look terrible, especially January Jones’ red dress!

I loved Natalie Portman’s dress! Olivia Wilde (not pictured) looked beautiful also, and I liked how her dress was not flowing.

I agree with most of them, but I LOVED Natalie Portman’s dress! And she’s pregnant! The shape of her dress would be something I would’ve worn If I was pregnant too

Anne Hathaway, Emma Stone, Leighton Meester, and Olivia Wilde were my favorites of the night. I don’t see how Leighton is trying too hard, it looks effortless to me. Now I know not everyone loves what Tilda is wearing, but I think only she could put that off. I love Natalie Portman’s dress too, she looks so cute!

Olivia Wilde’s dress would be number one in my book.

Angelina Jolie really did look stunning. And Eli Saab’s collection in general was amazing so you couldn’t go wrong wearing his stuff!

I loved January Jones’ dress. Angelina Jolie’s was alright, the color and texture saved her imo, if that style of dress had been anything else it would’ve looked hideous.

Natalie Portman on the other hand, I mean what’s with all the hating? Awkward acceptance speech aside, her dress was beautiful, and so was she. Did you see the massive distraction that was front and center on Amy Adams’ dress? Why hasn’t that been on any worst dressed lists?

Tilda Swinton is always weird, its just part of the whole package.

I agree with all except #8 and #9. I think Leighton looked great in that dress, and I hated January’s dress.

I love Angelina’s dress as well as Anne’s. I thought the long sleeves and open back dresses brought a new kind of sexiness to the red carpet.

halfway through, i thought to myself “there is no way this isn’t a guest post.” intelligent comments about the clothing, styling, and designers, not a single spelling or grammatical error, none of jessica’s tired “i-wish-i-was-diablo-cody” vocab, an all-around really well written piece. refreshing!

Um actually Leighton Meester looks great in that dress, I think it’s pretty.

Meester needs to start borrowing her on screen characters clothes. For someone who plays Blair Waldorf, she should really update her closet, that or talk to the tv shows clothes manager…

I also didn’t think Portmans dress was THAT bad but she probably should have done something a tad form fitting and have straps. That way the bump was showing and it didn’t look so baggy  :/

I agree with mostly all of this, except I would switch Best and Worst with January Jones and Leighton Meester. I think January Jones looks cheap and over-exposed, while Leighton looks classy, flawless, and well put-together. Just my opinion – the rest is right on point!

All comes down to opinion, but January Jones’s dress is horrible. I mean really fucking horrible.

Angelina looks like a grandmother whose grandchild was given access to glue and sequins and told to decorate granny’s dress for her.

January looks like she’s wearing a hula skirt and not enough clothing on top.

On the other hand, I think Natalie Portman looked great. And Olivia Wilde is definitely missing from the post!

I didn’t like Emma Stone’s look. Her whole look makes her appear twenty years older than she is. I also think that Natalie Portman looks nice in that dress. She has a sweet glow to her.

The dress would’ve looked a lot better without the stem and leaves, though.

TILDA SWILTON’S was baaaaaaaaaad, seriously, I would have actually just worn white shirt and pulled a “risky business” look and try to look like a comedian.

Honestly she forgot her skirt, ran over to closest restaurant and either a)borrowed table cloth OR b) they curtains. Disappointed I really like her as a professional.

Dude, really? Natalie Portman is pregnant and one of the most authentic/gorgeous women in the acting business. Has she even had plastic surgery? I doubt it. She’s GORGEOUS. That dress makes her look SO adorable. Seriously.

& Scarlett looks like she’s about to kill the camera man. hah

I like Scar-Jo’s dress, but what was up with that hair? January Jones as one of your “best” picks? Really? She looks like a pole dancer. My cousin wore a dress almost identical to Angelina Jolie’s to her junior prom in 1985 and, in keeping with the 1985 prom theme, Anne Hathaway looks like a walking disco ball.

In sum, I’m not really I sure I agree with your “best” choices.

I think I agree on only ONE best. Most of those dresses are so gross.
