Hey, if there’s one thing you can’t accuse New Jersey residents of, it’s being lukewarm in their loyalties.
And my favorite….
Wow…would you ever get a tattoo of your home state/country, Lovelies?

*sigh* Why? would you ever put something like that on your body?
i would never do that though…..nc suckss. :p
but that’s probably cause i’m from jersey haha
that last one …wow

@bekkabrutality@xanga - Jersey girls ftw!
@Skinny_Monstar@xanga - yeahyeah, i agree!
i always wanted a small nj tattoo. nothing extreme, just a little one somewhere hidden. I don’t think i ever will get it though
I’m from Texas, most people here who have tattoos seem to have one that looks like the lone star state. It’s fairly awesome.
Hah some of them kind of look like really bad scars..
I would, but it would probably be more a tribute to my Buckeyes than the state of Ohio itself.
*pukes in mouth* A tat of AR is the last thing on my mind.
NJ ALL DAY!

I plan on getting tattoos to represent my home state, Texas, and something to represent my cultural heritage as a Filipino. I don’t think they’ll be as big as the last one, but I think those are all awesome tats.
@o0oBrittanyo0o13@xanga - thats JUST what i was going to say. thanks for re-iterating the point(:

The first one looks like a profile of Abraham Lincoln in that heart.

My first reaction was, “Ew?!” And yes, I’m from New Jersey. No thank you.

@SleepyLaura@xanga - haha, I love going back home and seeing so many people with their lone star state tattoos
magnolia / 1369 posts
no i wouldn’t but i’m not going to judge someone else. it’s their body not mine.

@xhalesx@revelife - Hahahha yeah it kind of does!
I think Maryland is such an awkwardly-shaped state. I would never get it tattooed on me.
@xxFADEt0BLACKxx@xanga - Haha. I don’t think any state would look attractive tattooed on someone’s body.

My boyfriend has a tattoo of Texas on his upper back. He always calls it his lone star state tattoo so I’m assuming it’s kind of common in Texas, as well. I think it’s alright. I don’t see a problem with it. I saw a tattoo of California (where I’m from) with a heart where the person lived and I really loved it, but I don’t know if I would get it haha.
Lol, I’d expect this a little more with people from Texas. Or California. But I guess Jersey’s still up there.
Also, love your sarcasm Jessica.
I’m from Hawaii, and the Hawaiian Islands tattoos makes the person look like they have an unfortunate smattering of oddly shaped birth marks…
I will not be getting an Ohio tattoo anytime soon, thanks x(

represent.i’m from jersey hahahaha this is taking it a little too far.
Maybe it’s being from Pennsylvania…but I’m assuming the title of this post is sarcastic? Because “classy” and “New Jersey” don’t belong in the same sentence. Either way, these people look like morons.

I’m from Texas, which is really the only state worth having tattooed on your body.
But only if you’re from here. We don’t like posers. ;)

Oh my goodness! Now that is state pride!!!
a close friend of my brother got the outline of jersey with all of his close friends names written inside of it. it actually looks really cool. i think it’s a good idea except for the fact that they may or may not be your friend forever, but cool concept regardless.
as for the actual tattoo, i like them. i don’t think i would ever do one though..
The last one looks so painful. :O
Regarding the question, I love my city but I am not going to get a tattoo of it.
@xhalesx@revelife - bahaha.. I had to scroll back up like ‘Oh..that’s supposed to be NJ..oops, couldn’t tell…’
I’d probably get a small one of the Australian flag, but as it stands, I don’t want any tattoos.
I’m actually guilty of having a jersey tattoo. it takes up half of my back and has a heart where home is. I had a lot of issues of finding where I belonged and what home really was. It was until I came back from college in the summer (swearing I’d never come back to the state) realizing that no matter what I do or where I go, Jersey is my home.
As much as I love Jersey, nah. I wouldn’t get it. If I did, it would be a small one.

@SleepyLaura@xanga - @shinoseishi@xanga - @not3000@xanga - I want a tattoo of something representing Texas. It’s pretty common here. Maybe not a huge outline of the state though, maybe a star or a bluebonnet or something.
@noPrinceCharming@datingish - Haha. Yea. I didn’t realize that they were all tattoos of NJ until about the 4th picture down. So I was wondering why the top one had a tattoo of Abe Lincoln. Crazy people these days will get tattoos of anything. haha.

@xhalesx@revelife - lol I have two, soon to be 3 tattoos that mean something to me, but I will NEVER get one of Ohio.. or any other state.
Why not get a Long Island tattoo? We give our fist- pumping, orange tans and hair gel 110%!
@noPrinceCharming@datingish - Yea. I have no problem with tattoos at all. I don’t think I would ever get one. I have a very low pain tolerance. But it’s always made more sense to get a tattoo that meant something to me. I mean if it’s going to be on my body for the rest of my life I would want it to mean something special to me.
@SexyGamerGirl@xanga - That’s what I was thinking. My theory is that there are some people who are basically hellbent on proving P.T. Barnum right as often as they possibly can.
There is something wrong with the title of this entry. The words “classy” and “tattoo” rarely if ever belong in the same sentence.
that last one is INTENSE. i live in Ohio and it kinda looks like a heart so if i got that, it’d be over my heart. I was born in california and consider it my homestate, but i wouldn’t get it tattooed on my body. maybe a bear or something that has to do with california, but not the state…
People tattoo themselves with Texas, too! http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&source=imghp&biw=1440&bih=799&q=texas+tattoos&gbv=2&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=f&oq=&gs_rfai=
@xhalesx@revelife - I hate pain, I don’t even have my ears pierced because I’m afraid of the pain. The tattoo that I have on my shoulder wasn’t really that bad..If you’ve ever been scratched by a cat & didn’t freak out, than you’d be fine with a tattoo, depending on where you got it. The small treble clef I have on my stomach was numb for the most part, than it startled ticking a lil bit lol. The only time it hurt was for the last tiny bit when the guy was finishing up.. It wasn’t that bad. =)
if i were from michigan i would…freaking love michigan.
@noPrinceCharming@datingish - If I were to ever get a tattoo it would be on my foot. And I’ve heard that one of the most painful places to get one.
And getting your ears pierced doesn’t hurt at all. You would think it would, but it’s over so fast that you don’t even notice anything. Unless your crazy like my friend who did it herself.
I would never do that! One, I find most of these unclassy looking. Two, I HATE CALIFORNIA.
yeah it’s done all the time in Texas, but I never knew New Jersey had it in them.
haha they are awful….I know a lot of ppl who have jersey tatts and have friends who want them. they are stupid but us jersey folk love our state.
@janusfiles@xanga - i am pretty sure she is using sarcasm in the title.
Some are okay. I’m actually from NJ so maybe I would.. but of coarse Id do it muchh better
Oh Jersey… nothing in the world is quite like it!
Ha, like I would get my corrupt state of california permanently etched into my skin.
that last one looks painful
and no ii wouldn`t hahaha
I won’t lie, I’d get a SMALL jersey on me. I honestly love where I live lol (despite the picture the Jersey Shore made, I hate Seaside!)
wow… the last one blew me away… and since I live in California, the only place I’d get it is on my right elbow. Just because that’s what California looks like. =P But I don’t like tattoos, so I wouldn’t actually get it
I love being from Texas and all but.. No…
Ha, that’s interesting. I’d never get a tattoo of Ohio, but whatevs.
LOL at the last one
apparently, everyone from jersey was like “hell yeah! imma get one!” and everyone from texas has one of their state as well. but the rest?? yeah we think it’s stupid and disgusting. gross.
I wouldn’t even get a canadian flag on myself. No offense to Canada it’s just not something I want on my body — I want artwork with deep meaning to me. Not a representation of my nationality.
my friend has a pretty awesome tat that says NATIVE (the A is the michigan mitten and the I is the Upper Peninsula) i love it.
I am getting a tattoo of the palm tree and cresent moon from the south carolina flag carolina girls best in the world <3
I have a friend who has a small tattoo in the shape of Minnesota on her foot and it’s one of the cutest ones I’ve ever seen. Like, that is one tattoo I know she will never regret.
I’m from TX, and yeah, I’d get a small outline or something of TX on me, like by my ankle or something like that.
I’m from Seattle, so I would totally consider a tasteful space needle somewhere, but nothing huge or flashy like those. DEFINITELY not a tramp stamp. Yikes.

I know people who have incorporated Florida into tattoos, but why would anyone want just the state itself? It’s kind of an awkward shape, not that NJ isn’t as well. I love the Sunshine State, but not that much!
orchid / 227 posts
I have a tattoo of Vietnam on my back. =P
jersey boy is hot. The rest are ugly. When you’re anywhere in the planet except in your hometown, your tattoo is like a piece of shit.
I’d totally get an Iowa tattoo. It’s a cute little state..
google hawaiian islands tattoos. Everyone gets them here.

Jersey Proud! I cannot wait to get my Jersey tattoo! It won’t be big and obnoxious like those though! hahai’ll actually make it cute//classy

I’m from Alaska, and know several people with an Alaska outline tattoo or the big dipper, which is on our state flag. I’ve definitely considered having the state incorporated into a tattoo!
