Thanks to the recent cold fronts that have forced our sandals and flats into hibernation, there is no better time than now to jump on the boot bandwagon. That being said, I propose that we all do away with those furry boots we all love so much and say hello to some rockin new footwear: combat boots.
The trend has been seen all over Hollywood on celebs like Miley Cyrus and Rachel Bilson, but it seems to me that us mere mortals are too afraid to try out the look for ourselves. That is until I decided to throw caution to the wind and buy a pair for myself.
Despite some hesitation, I wore the boots for the first time last week and let me tell you, not a single person could walk by without commenting on my new purchase. The boots add an edginess to even the girliest outfit and are guaranteed to give you the confidence of a rock star. With each step I took I felt more self assured and to be honest, a little bad ass! I now wear my combats with as many outfits as I possibly can and each time I fall in love with them a little more.
Try them out for yourself: Rock a pair with your favorite skinny jeans and a tee to create an edgy, effortlessly chic look, or throw on a pair with a flower print dress or skirt and black tights to add an unexpected element to an otherwise girly ensemble. However you wear them, always do so with confidence!
Will you be adding combat boots to your wardrobe, Lovelies?

I bought a pair this summer and love them. I’m obsessed with boots, and these are a perfect addition to my collection.

I wear a pair of all black Converse knee-highs that feel like combat boots n_n They are the coolest shoes ever. Got them at Journeys a few years ago.

I have a pair of combat boots from my high school goth days, but their knee high. I don’t think I’d be able to get away with them with how my personality is now – unless someone has a suggestion with how I could wear them and still retain my bohemian style.
I don’t really have the money to fork over money for a pair of Maddens.

I have legit combat boots that I got during my days in ROTC and wear them still to this day (my longest lasting pair of footwear by far, going on 4 years now) to either do physical labor, shoveling snow (almost impossible to get my feet wet in even when fully submerged in water) or to just wear around. I love my combat boots and they are still going strong. Occasionally polish the leather and they will last until they physically fall apart.

I bought these on a whim a couple months ago. They are really cute because they have the lace with a nice buckles to make it edgier. They zip up which is lame but I guess it makes them easier to take on and off.

I’m not the biggest fan of combat boots as I once was. Though I never owed a pair..I’m happy to do without them.
