I’m currently flirting with the idea of painting a wall in my kitchen or office with chalkboard paint. You know, a giant notepad/calendar/message center where people will write inappropriateness that I’ll discover at the most inopportune times.
I’m thinking of black, but you can customize the paint color like they did on Martha Stewart. Black paint is available through Benjamin Moore.
P.S. Where was chalkboard paint when I was a mischievous four year-old who loved to draw on the grand room walls?

We have a chalkboard wall! It’s so much fun. We have everyone who comes over sign their name or draw something

I have thought about this forever for my bedroom. Kitchen is a really good idea, though, because I always have a whiteboard or something on the fridge or somewhere in the room.. this is way cooler with the same fuction.

This is so cute! the Martha Stewart ones are really pretty. I’d love to have a dusky rose chalkboard, but the contrast in black is so striking.

I have a dry erase board wall in my room! (: Its fantastic cause people just come and leave messages or draw picture or whatever and you dont have to worry about all the chalkboard dust.

My boyfriend would love that. He’s really into math and physics and randomly does complicated math problems on whatever surface he can.

bahhh I want that!!! I would invite all my artsy friends over and we’ll have a drawing party. Well I wouldn’t draw simply because the best I can do is stick people but this is an awesome idea

I think that would be great for kids’ rooms, or any room where one wants to be able to have erasable pictures. Think about having it in your living room for playing Pictionary with friends!!!
