Against my better judgment, I made the trek out to the stores today, and participated in the commercial madness that is Black Friday, for the first time in years.
Much to my consternation (but not to my surprise), the stores were brimming with “things,” criminally hot and full of frantic shoppers looking to save a few bucks.
Heading into H&M, however, certainly assuaged many of my concerns, having found a wealth of unbelievable bargains — $5 and $10 items of clothing…50% off here, 50% off there. Ultimately, I picked up a few seriously lovely pieces.
Did you venture out to the stores this Black Friday, Lovelies?

I had to go grocery shopping. I dunno if that counts.

My sis dragged me outlet shopping (at 5 AM!), and I found 2 dresses at BCBG for $92, including tax. Good deal…

My family and I went out at 12AM after our big Thanksgiving dinner to go to the mall. Not so much for the shopping, just for the excitement. It was fun! I did get something from Guess though for 60% off. Woo!

I didn’t go shopping because I work in retail. I started work at 8:30 Thanksgiving night because we opened at 9 pm. I didn’t get to go home until 9 the following morning.

I went out, too, but I wasn’t in NYC so H&M had AWFUL deals where I’m at. When I do Black Friday in NYC, I always get screamingly amazing deals at H&M and other stores. NY & Co was 60% off everything, though, so I got some great fashion tights there.

Hell no.. I didn’t need anything. I wasn’t going to stand outside in the cold. My christmas shopping can wait and it will wait until the middle of December. I slept.

It makes me laugh how some people are against Black Friday to the point of refusing it, saying things like, “No thanks, I’d rather not fight the masses to save $5 off a t-shirt. That’s just stupid!” No…it’s stupid not to go out because you generally save more than 50% off most things. If you shop smart and know what you’re looking for, you get amazing deals! I got a 23″ monitor and Windows 7 for $200–and a 600 thread count down alternative comforter for $80!

The H&M by me had shit. I was so disappointed! But Old Navy supplied me with the cutest plaid pea coat for only 30 bucks, originally 70.

I only went to 1 store, but it wasn’t until 5pm. It wasn’t for the specials, I just wanted to go there cause I knew they would have somethin I liked.

I found a lot of good things at the H&M near me. Also, I went to a Juicy Couture outlet and everything was 50% off. I have a new Merino wool and silk sweater, originally $180 that I got for $20.

I wish I had had more money and had been able to go to places like H&M. But I did get a jump start on Christmas shopping, and every little bit helps when you’re a broke-ass college student. One present down, five to go!

I got tons of cute stuff at the H&M near me
I got a trenchcoat for only $20 when it was originally $100 and I got a $15 sweater, a $5 dress,and $5 pajama pants!

I didn’t go shopping. I already have tons of clothes and some of the best deals are electronics, but I’m not into electronics. (okay, I want to buy more clothes, but I don’t have that much money to spend
)

Way to flaunt… No one really cares Megan Fox look alike….just stop….

I went to UO. Disgusting experience… it was like we were all plumped up chickens in a chicken coop, so hard to move around the tiny sales rack space. the three hour wait in line was ridiculous too, with everyone cutting. I’m never going black friday shopping there ever again.
But I did get a $5 pair of pajama pants from h&m after I got out of UO! They’re so soft and warm. I should’ve bought more… By the time I got to h&m there wasn’t a lot of sales stuff left :/

yes we did. just about the last three years we kept going to buy what we need. this year we went just because we have things we WANT. it was awesome. no pressure, no rush. it was easy and relaxing.
but expensive. hopefully we wont be doing that again. because i don’t see the purpose of having done it again.

usually, but not this year.

i went shopping on friday, but not in the morning. i went 3-6pm.. banana republic was having everything 25% off sale, and espirit was having everything 40% off sale just to name a few
you don’t need to go early in the morning to get deals. you can still get good deals w/o the hustle.. i was in soho, ny so i expected a large crowd, but it wasn’t bad.
i didn’t go to best buy (although that is the most popular spot), because i didn’t want/need anything electronic.. i just wanted clothes.
this is the first time i actually shopped black friday too.
seriously. some stores have black friday sales starting wednesday to sunday.. i don’t get this assumption that it’s crazy on that day. just don’t go in the morning.. iono i think that’s when they give the first 100 people crazy discounts or something iono.. or maybe best buy or places like that have limited number of cheap blu ray players or whatever.. meh.

My ride was vomiting up the horrendous food from the night before, so no, I never made it to any stores for Friday.

I went Black Friday Shopping for the first time in my life & i have to say, it was pretty fantastic! I didn’t go out at 5 in the morning, instead made my hungover way to the mall around noon, but it was still totally worth almost getting killed by traffic. We got so much stuff!
