It’s known that winter weather slows down our sex drive. 


In the winter time we often consume more carbohydrates, which slows us down and makes us want to actually get some Z’s when we go to sleep together. Our metabolism also lowers due to lack of exercise. 

My guess is there are less trips to the beach to motivate us to keep up with our beach bods. And that we generally wear more clothes and cover up in the winter. 

My first suggestion is, try to exercise more:

– Just 30 minutes of exercise a day can help. Take your dog on a walk. Lift some weights (aka heavy shopping bags.)

– Try taking yoga or other classes that will motivate you to keep working out.

– There are also exercises specific for helping you in the sack:

1. Kegel exercises

2. Box Press-up

On the flip side, there are foods that can help you too:

-Oysters: make sure they are clean, and don’t eat them if you are an expecting mother.

-Other deep sea/cold water fish: salmon, halibut…

-Honey, garlic, chocolate, figs, basil, bananas, avocado, almonds…

Get Some Sun: 

-Soaking up vitamin D will increase your serotonin, making you more happy and willing to jump your partners bones. 

-Take in some sunlight therapy by going on a warm weather vacation or hit the tanning beds. However, always wear lotion and be sure to not overexpose yourself to the sun.
