I’m not sure how I feel about nude pregnancy shots.  I mean, it’s a beautiful thing to be carrying a child, but why get naked and take a photo of it?

I guess it’s art.  C’est la vie.

It’s actually a very, very tasteful shot of Ms. Kerr-Bloom.

I like it.

It’s rather tasteful (for a nude pregnant gorgeous model.) And it shows that you can still be beautiful while pregnant.

But why a watermelon?

Watermelon is a nice touch lol. 

Aside from that, this is a beautiful photo capturing a central part of human experience. I never understood why anyone would oppose tastefully-done nude photography anyways, pregnancy-themed or otherwise.

Tasteful but I’m grossed out by pregnant women. It’s probably my childbirth phobia.

She looks kinda skinny for someone supposed to be growing a new life…

@StephanieP@revelife - She was slender before she got preggo. I’m sure she’s experienced some weight gain, but why let yourself go just because you’ve got a fetus inside you? Plus, we don’t see the whole story here – Some parts could have been photoshopped. :/

My boyfriend and I love photos like this.. I think it must be very liberating and the best feeling ever to be pregnant, naked and completely love your body at that exact moment in time. I know that it’s something I will do when I’m pregnant with my first child.. just, y’know not for the whole world to see

It’s fine. I don’t have a problem with it.

Wow. This is beautiful. There is something so naturally
human about his pic. “Lol, duh, there’s a human in the pic” yeah, I know, but
that’s the only way I could think of describing this picture. The baby comes
out in the nude and the mother is mirroring that in her own nudity. Clothes
have nothing to do with the mother and child relationship and shedding them
brings out the true humanity of the connection. Like I said: truly beautiful.

I only gained 25lbs in my pregnancy. Not everyone has to become a fat cow to have a healthy pregnancy and child.

I think people that say pregnant women are gross are pretty much saying that THEY are gross. There’s nothing different about a pregnant woman’s body until the stomach starts protruding, even then- I don’t understand how you couldn’t find it just natural and beautiful.
Did your parents not talk to you about sex? Jeeeez.. get over yourself and your shut-in views on things.

i’d rather there be a watermelon than what’s actually underneath it- huge disappointment, not going to lie. she’s still gorgeous though.

I cannot pretend the nipples weren’t totally unappealing to me. But that’s personal preference and not even the point of the shot. Her body is beautiful and she looks so at peace carrying a baby! I’ve always thought pregnant women looked sort of majestic.

pregnant women have always been depicted in plenty of works. there’s nothing nasty about it. and i don’t understand how people feel “unsure” about pregnant photos. there is Nothing to feel unsure about. this is a body. that is all. it’s so Human and Natural that people are repulsed by it. and then there are those who are repulsed by what is normal and call other shit the normal when it is just a social construction. 
chicks these days. ugh. i hear less men complaining about pregnant nude women compared to the number of women who complain. maybe the men just don’t say anything. but this is pathetic. i wonder if women are “shaped” to react with disgust or negative reactions the same way everyone (almost everyone) in america scream when they see a bug.

@StephanieP@revelife - Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. You can sort of tell by her shoulder and hip bones just how skinny she was before she got pregnant. I’m like… “Damn, congrats on pulling off a pregnancy- let alone a decent period- weighing that little. That’s an accomplishment.”
