When I think of “work clothes,” I usually think of wearing all black. But, I don’t want to come off like I’m working at the MAC counter. So to spice things up, I decided to wear this polka dot top along the usual cardigan/slacks for work. 

 

I think it’s good to experiment with colours, prints, and textures. Although I’m still playing it safe here with the colours, I think by wearing a spaghetti top with prints can add some personality to the outfit. You don’t need to follow my footsteps in wearing polka dots (I know a few people who HATE wearing polka dots). Instead, play with the neckline (i.e., collar versus mandarin collar) or go for bold prints (i.e., animal print, paisley).
