Kanye West’s highly anticipated video for “Runaway” was finally released and in typical Kanye fashion, it was dramatic. After all the controversy of his album cover being banned, there was a lot of hype about this video. I quite frankly was not disappointed. Mr. West’s music provided the soundtrack, of course. It was full of vivid imagery and I think it was better than some of the movies I’ve seen in theaters.
Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks is one beautiful woman and Kanye couldn’t have picked a better looking phoenix in my opinion. She wears only feathers throughout the 34 or so minute video (genius idea!). Kanye doesn’t have many lines, but one that I quite enjoyed was: “First rule in this world baby, don’t pay attention to anything you see in the news.”
I may have to reconsider my Halloween costume, Lovelies…

i was actually really surprised. im a pretty big kanye west fan and i thought this was going to be the typical kanye but it was great. i loved every bit of it. great story line and definitely worth your time.

when i first saw it on TV i was like yo i have heard dat before and then 30 minutes later i glance back and was like um did Kanye make all his singles in one day, dats unusual, will that work?, but then i saw him talking and even though i knew he couldn’t act i decided to watch this movie and then he started rapping again i was like well dats new lol its only when i check youtube i saw the whole thing and laughed my head off!. i wonder if TV stations would be playing the whole thing at once, but he did great, just needs acting coach like Jay-z
