Lara Flynn Boyle’s ballerina dress at the 2003 Golden Globe Awards created buzz not only because it was a fashion faux pas but also because it exposed Lara’s scary thin figure, which she later had to defend to the media.
If wearing this outfit was all a part of Lil’ Kim’s master plan to get groped by icon Diana Ross (at the 2009 MTV Video Awatds), then it worked!
Britney Spears was all the buzz at the 2001 MTV Video awards when she wore a snake around her neck during her “I’m a Slave 4 U” performance, attracting a lot of criticism from PETA and other animal rights groups for her use of the exotic animal.
Katy Perry hosted the MTV Europe Awards in this dress featuring Barack Obama on the front and the words “I have a dream!” on the back. The French designer behind the dress, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, would later receive a slew of nasty letters from Americans.

Halle wins hands down!! Sexy but not provocative!! I’ll never forget that dress because I was watching the Oscars that night she won! I dont think there was ever a better Oscar speech! She earned that win, I dont give a damn what people say, she was a good actress. People tore that win up but they were jealous.

The meat dress is ridiculous…her designer had to have been on drugs that night. I thought Britney’s snake thing was pretty cool, it got her a lot of publicity anyway. As for the others…well….ick.
