Yup, you betcha. Maybe it’s a gimmick, maybe it’s not. But the cosmetic company, Purple Lab NYC, says that their lip glosses include an ingredient that may help you lose weight when you apply them. Sounds a bit sketchy, doesn’t it?
Well, the lip glosses’ line, Huge Lips Skinny Hips, includes five flavored lip glosses, costing $25.00 each. While the lip glosses help plump your lips, the magic is supposed to be with the key ingredient, hoodia. When ingested, the hoodia triggers your brain to think that you’re full.
Hoodia is actually derived from a South African plant and is now put in capsules and dietary supplements to help consumers lose weight. Though there have been studies, there aren’t a lot of them to prove that hoodia helps you lose weight.
If they do work, let’s just say that MAC definitely has some competition on their hands.
Do you believe the “hoopla?” Or are these just plain lip glosses?

doesn’t sound like it’d work…

This seems really ridiculous.
How could you lose weight wearing lip gloss? and even if the ingredient did work, wouldn’t you probably have to eat the entire tube?

You know what helps you to lose weight? Stiching your lips shut.

I rather stick to the old fashion way to lose weight: eat right and exercise.

that sounds really funny but that hoodia stuff is in most weight loss pills and other weight loss plans like the cookie diet thing.

@Shl3333@xanga - LOL!!!!
Definitely gimmicky. If it worked, they would not be able to keep these on the shelf. I’d be the first in line to buy a dozen.
