I love TOMS shoes (check out my review of my first pair!), but some of you hate them. Here, I try to use images of TOMS-sporting celebrities to sway you. Let the brainwashing begin.
Scarlett Johansson digs her Olive Classics.
So does Anna Kendrick!
Kristen Stewart rocks hers at an event.
Liv Tyler likes her Classics in Navy and paired with plaid.
Guys dig TOMS too — check out Zac Efron‘s.
Maggie Grace wears the sparkly gold TOMS to the red carpet.
Mary-Kate Olsen likes them in gray, too.
Mila Kunis goes out for coffee in comfort.
Shenae Grimes rocks plaid TOMS with a denim high-waisted pencil skirt.
Red is the color of choice for Keira Knightley and her breezy sundress.
Are you convinced that TOMS can be stylish, Lovelies?

I’ve always loved those shoes. They look so comfy.
guest
They’re kind of ugly but if they’re comfortable, I’d wear them with jeans and whatnot.
guest
if they had them in more stylish colors i’d wear them..
guest
They’re so adorable, and look wicked comfy! Maybe I’ll buy some… I’m just not sure if I’d be able to pull them off as a sophomore in high school. :\

i’ve never seen TOMS before… but i really like them.
daffodil / 1975 posts
No, I am not. It just shows that these people have no taste.
guest
I don’t care if Jesus Christ wore them. They are still ugly.
ranunculus / 3285 posts
That doesn’t mean I’ll like them.
guest
I adore TOMS. Honestly, I don’t think they’re all that cute, but they are SUPER comfortable. Not to mention each purchase goes towards a good cause. I actually just wrote a post about my first pair too!
guest
@pixiedustandreams@xanga - Why not? When I was in high school, one girl in my freshman class started wearing Crocs, and the trend lasted until we graduated. And TOMS aren’t even that ugly. If they’re comfy, they’ll catch on soon enough =]
guest
I LOVE THEM.

@Masked_Melody@xanga - it’s like walking on a cloud of happiness!
guest
@betterdesigned@xanga - TOMS isn’t just about the shoes being cute or trendy; it’s a “Buy one Give one movement”. Blake Mycoskie started TOMS so that when people bought a pair of shoes, they’d give a pair of shoes to kids across the world. Since 2006 when they started they’ve given away close to 700,000 pairs of shoes to kids who wouldn’t have them otherwise.

I don’t think they’re cute (although the new wedges don’t look too bad!) but I think they’re an amazing organization.
daffodil / 1975 posts
@PerkyPunk8064@xanga - I have nothing against the organization but that wasn’t the question posed here. It was whether or not the shoes are “stylish”, which I don’t believe they are. They may be comfortable, and be part of a great cause, but that does not automatically mean they’re fashionable in any way, shape or form.
guest
I get the movement and would LOVE to support it, but I couldn’t be caught wearing these. If they were cute, I’d buy away!
guest
@Jessica - I concur! My sister had TOMS before I did… she always told me they were the most comfortable things on planet earth. Due to the fact that she’s prone to ridiculous over-exaggeration, I didn’t believe her. lol And now I totally understand… they’re amazing!
guest
@pixiedustandreams@xanga - LOL what does your age have to do with it? They have TOMS for kids!
guest
@Prayforplagues707@xanga - Have you seen the new wedges? They’re much cuter than the classics.
guest
@betterdesigned@xanga - Fair enough- I don’t think they’re that cute either.
Although really, they should have made mention of the wedges. I would give those a shot. http://www.toms.com/womens/wedges?view=all

Ummm… No. They’re still ugly.
I love the reason for them and support the movement, in theory… but the shoes themselves are just so gosh darned ugly! And not flattering at all, either.
guest
i love them. they’re a bit too expensive for me though /: i need to save up for a pair.
guest
@Masked_Melody@xanga - I’m still not too hot about them and they’re so expensive! Maybe I’m just living under my thrift store rock, but I’ve never paid more than $30 for shoes in my life haha
guest
they kind of look like Keds (the brand from way back in the days).
guest
when i saw your first review of toms shoes, i thought they were the ugliest thing made on earth. but one day i saw all these girls trying them on… so i caved and tried them on myself. they were the most comfortable shoes i ever put on my feet!! and they actually look pretty chic especially with skinny jeans. they just FEEL really good. i ended up buying the red pair, and i’m planning on getting a few more! haha… thanks to lovelyish, i found my new favorite shoes
guest
I was debating between buying a pair of these for fall or some new Ugg cloggettesss….
guest
Wow. Another shoe that would make me believe you looked like you escaped from the mental hospital. Watch out Crocs and Uggs, this might be the the ugliest shoe besides you.
And even if they looked a little better, I still wouldn’t buy them. They look completely flat and have no arch support whatsoever. No thanks.
guest
yep yep! they loook stylish and comfy! I want a pair
guest
they look almost cute on guys. almost
but… idk. if they’re paired with the right look they can be do-able.
but thats rare and I would not be able to do it
sanuks are more my style
guest
@pixiedustandreams@xanga - Haha don’t care what those people think of you anyways. When you get out of high school all of the jerks who bugged you about stupid stuff will be out of your life, or they will have matured enough to not make fun of you in college or at your job.
guest
they’re soooooo ugly. i know they donate a shoe for each shoe purchased but that doesn’t make their shoes attractive in any way.
lily / 5148 posts
And I care why..?
Because I don’t.
They’re ugly. Period. And they flatter no one above that’s wearing them. You can still find pretty comfy shoes that are still pretty and flattering. Not this ugly crap.
guest
haha, so many Toms haters…
but you know what? shoes only look as good as the person wearing them. so if you think they look ugly on you, then thats just too bad. =P
guest
I WANT A PAIR TOO
LOOKS SO COMFORTABLE
guest
I like them, especially those gold ones. Uhmmm brb, going to buy some shoes, you guys.
guest
@Prayforplagues707@xanga - Hahahah that’s totally understandable. I used to only buy shoes on sale. I think my last 4 or 5 pairs of shoes, I purchase for under $10 (the cheapest pair being for $2.99… and yes, they were name brand lol)… then I bought a pair of TOMS. hehe
I’m totally a thrift store and clearance sale kinda girl. I only pay full price for stuff about once in a blue moon. lol
guest
so comfy and cute. they’re a lifesaver whenever you have to walk a long distance
guest
I think these are cute !
guest
They look comfortable and i could have a pair of those in my closest soon haha i would want the wedge one though. i love high shoes lol
guest
You forgot Hanson!
guest
They look like slippers I wear around my house. They look comfy, but I wouldn’t wear it outside.
guest
absolutely not.
guys can rock them, sorta, but not girls.
guest
@betterdesigned@xanga - agreed.
guest
I love my TOMS they’re for a good cause and they’re comfy!
guest
I want some TOMS shoes so bad, just haven’t yet
guest
love love love them stinky toms. i need a gray pair now
guest
I love TOMS. I liked them before I knew what they were. I bought a pair of knock-offs, and only found out afterwards that they were knock-offs of TOMS. I’d never seen anyone wearing them prior to that. So to me, the being charitable part was just a nice bonus. I didn’t realize so many people were so against them, and to compare them to UGGS and Crocs is a bit harsh, imo. I like the simplistic/minimalistic design, and yes even though they sort of lack in arch support, they aren’t the first shoe to suffer from that. These are pretty much the only shoes I’ve been wearing all summer, at work and everywhere basically. The only thing I have to gripe about is that the sole and fabric at my heel didn’t seem to take too long to wear down. Maybe that’s just something funky with my feet or the way I walk though.
guest
I’ve never seen the point of buying something simply because it “helps out a good cause”. I do not like these shoes, so that fact is not enough to sway me. I’d much rather donate directly than use the good cause as an excuse to buy something. Buy what you want and give back what you can. Easy.
guest
At first I had no idea what you were even talking about. But then I went to Tom’s website and and lightbulb went on and I thought “oh yeah… I remember that commercial on TV”. But I know what you mean by the most comfortable shoes. I have two pairs of Fit Flops and they are the most comfortable things I have ever worn on my feet! I even wear them around the house in the winter!
guest
Love it!
guest
the navy ones are nice.
guest
nawww, i still don’t like ‘em.
over priced poorly made hobo shoes? i’ll pass.
shenae grimes looks cute though
guest
I love TOMS! I also love the concept behind them….what a wonderful world we could live in if people would just serve one another like the folks at TOMS do.
To the comment above mine: They are not poorly made….and they cost the same as a pair of converse with the benefit of giving a pair of shoes to a child who does not have a pair to wear–which leads to infections/disease and can prevent them from obtaining an education.–
guest
They’re so ugly, but they look really comfortable.
guest
I love TOMS. I really want a pair. it’s a really good cause, too.
I want them in red!!
guest
They do look comfortable. I’ll give you that.
guest
I have a stripey pair that I absolutely looooooooove. They’re so comfy and look great with dark jeans.
guest
not really relevant to the TOMS topic but I’m pretty sure that’s Ashley Olsen.
guest
I like them but I don’t think I’d pay 50 bucks for the lack of style and material.
guest
lovely..if its a little ragged,i think it looks kinda stylish too
guest
They’re kind of ugly, but they’re simple and look comfortable.
guest
Keira, Maggie and Mila did the best
guest
guest
Love it! I own one pair now, though I want more!! They are incredibly comfortable and I have to say, it does make me feel wonderful to know that for every pair I buy one gets sent to a kid who needs a pair. Great company, great message.
guest
I think they’re extremely cute and would get them if they didn’t have leather soles. =[
guest
Yup, they look cute with most outfits.
guest
i always called these the bruce lee shoes. http://www.cheekopek.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/last-movie-bruce-lee.jpg i love them tho
guest
@Erika_Steele@xanga - Well said. I hate TOMS!
guest
These are cute! I’m going to buy some later, when I get a job… haha.

@pixiedustandreams@xanga - sooo easy to wear toms shoes, I’m a junior in HS, and have 6 pairs, I wear them pretty much every day until it gets too cold. Crazy comfy, and very cute(:

@pixiedustandreams@xanga - Well I’m a sophomore, and I get different reactions from people lol some like them alot and others think they are stupid. But they are insanely comfortable so I don’t really care
haha

@llhw@xanga - toms has many, many patterns and styles to choice from, i’m pretty sure anyone could find at least one pair that they would like,
