Wanna know what colours are going to be in this 2010 Fall season? Well, it’s definitely not your average drab, dull colours.

Looking at some of the popular runways from the 2010 Fall Ready to Wear collection, we can see that designers, Balmain, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Alice + Olivia, have been sporting vibrant colours, purple and gold, into their designs. You, too, can also rock these colours without looking like you’re going to a Lakers game!

While it’s common to wear clothing to stand out from the crowd, why not go for a more subtle look by adding colour to your accessories? A great example is the gorgeous blue nail polish that stood out in Selena Gomez‘s all white outfit from earlier this week’s Teen Choice Awards. Here, we list seven purpley gold things to add to your wardrobe (and yes, this includes makeup)!

Of all the makeup products out there, it’s products for the eyes that make your whole look pop. For a simple purple look, just swipe the eyeliner on your eyes with a thin line while adding the purple eyeshadow (with hints of silver glitter) towards the eyelids.

Decorating your nails with nail polish can be a great way of adding colour to your outfit. We like this one by OPI, it has a purpley-burgundy base with hints of silver and gold glitter in each coat.

For a shimmery gold look, this asymmetrical gold sequined tiger top will bring out your inner animal in you. The gold tiger print is a great contrast on the black background. Pair this top with some sparkly purple earrings, and you’re good to go.

Fluff your hips up with this elegant looking skirt by Forever 21. It’s mainly purple and black, but if you look closely, there are hints of abstract gold all over the skirt. It’s a great way to look chic during the fall without being overtly “loud.”

This purple, leather strap on this handy watch will secure in place onto your wrist while looking sharp with a touch of gold coloured accents.

For a hint of purple, these shades are good for those who want even more subtleness. The gold accent bars complement the purple lens nicely.
