Sorry Brit… that’s not a good look for you.

We all remember back when Britney Spears impulsively shaved her head bald (unfortunately, it wasn’t a good sight!). But there are actual celebrities who look pretty good bald! Although most of them had their heads shaved for a movie role, they still look pretty rocking. Who says women need long hair to exude femininity?

 

1. Natalie Portman, actress
I never liked the movie, V for Vendetta, but the comics were pretty kickass. What I really liked about the movie was when Natalie Portman got her head shaved off! Here she is rocking a red carpet event with some of her hair growing out. Very nice!

 

2. Solange, actress
This gal who used to wear weaves has been now rocking it au natural – and nearly bald! And let me tell ya, she looks better like this! I’m sure her son is very proud of his very hip and trendy mom.

 

4. India Arie, songstress
The soulful singer, showed up at the 2003 Grammy Awards wearing a camouflage print dress, big hoops, and no hair. She considered having her hair shaved off as a “spiritual cleansing.” Her outer persona definitely matches with the songs she sings.

 

5. Mena Suvari, actress
She played the sultry high school cheerleader in the Award-winning American Beauty, but for a short time in 2007, she was rocking a very short (almost bald) hairstyle – shortly after Britney’s shaving fiasco.

 

5. Demi Moore, actress
To portray a “jughead,” Demi Moore had her hair shaved off in the movie, G.I. Jane. Although the movie didn’t do so well, we still applaud Demi for still holding her head gracefully during red carpet events.

 

6. Kylie Minogue, songstress
Prior to 2005, Kylie’s hot pants were what made Kylie hot and sexy. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and undergoing chemotherapy which ultimately led her to cut all of her hair. Here she is posing for the camera with her very short hair just a few months into chemotherapy. She’s still hot and sexy, but we can add another adjective to that: strong!
