"Dysmenorrhea is the term used to describe painful menstrual periods..."

I'm sure some of you are thinking, well sure, every female suffers from dysmenorrhea..duh. No they do not...that is the dictionary definition in layman's terms, let me give you the definition in terms of someone who suffers from this disorder:

"Dysmenorrhea: a term used to describe the most painful physical female pain...next to childbirth...without an epidural. A pain so severe that you will seriously consider a hysterectomy at the tender age of 19. A disorder that can simply leave you bedridden for days on end." That, my friends, is the true definition.

I have suffered from this disorder since I was 10 years old [yay early bloomers ]. For me, I was left unable to do anything for, luckily, only two days or so. I wouldn't be able to eat or be around food because I would vomit, I had the most severe cramps that could not be soothe by any heating pad, ibuprofen or midol, back aches that made any position a nightmare, dizziness and migraines to name a few of my faves.

Because of this, I've been on birth control since 11 in order to lessen the suckiness. First Yaz [which I finally got off of because it made me crazy, but that's another blog] and now Loestrin24...which is amazing, Aunt Flo is now almost bearable.

So ladies, do you suffer from any of these symptoms? How do you cope?
